Wow Muggs, you're really taking me down memory lane!! Woohoo!! 🙌
You need to see the movie, "Breakfast Club "❤ for real!!
I loved growing up in the 80’s! The good old days.
Simple Minds recorded "Don't You (Forget About Me)" for the 1985 film The Breakfast Club, a high school dramedy directed by John Hughes and starring Emilio Estevez, Anthony Michael Hall, Judd Nelson, Molly Ringwald, and Ally Sheedy. The song was a smash hit and movie was super-popular and while I enjoyed the movie for what it was, I was in high school at the time and it didn't reflect my experiences so I wasn't as big a fan of it as some of my contemporaries. Simple Minds lead singer Jim Kerr was married to Chrissie Hynde of The Pretenders during the eighties. When you're ready for another taste of the music of Simple Minds, check out "Promised You a Miracle" from 1982.
My favorite Simple Minds song is "Alive and Kicking"
This song and movie “The Breakfast Club” it was written for are a huge part of my growing up!!
Easy A is one of my favorite movies! I also love the movie from the 80s breakfast club. It was at the end of that movie as well. That movie is so iconic and is one of my absolute favorite movies.
Love this song and the movie The Breakfast Club (this was the theme song for it - there are clips from the movie in this video on the tv screen)! I got such a crush on Judd Nelson (John Bender). That vice principal was such a jerk, Paul Gleason really made you hate that character. And the way the kids told each other their background stories was done very well. Great acting all around, great storytelling, and great soundtrack! I was 25 when this came out, so I was a bit beyond the high school years 😉, but I still loved it!
This is one of those that instantly transports me back to mid 80s.....love it Mug. Ty mate ☘️🇺🇲
Always liked this.

This brings back so many memories of high school! The Breakfast Club was released the year I graduated. Thanks again for all the reactions, much appreciated!
"Alive and Kicking" is another banger from these guys.
@@waynemoon5359 Belfast Child is my favourite song of them.
I absolutely LOVE the drum sound on this track. And that fill toward the end-- I've said it different ways before, but from an age where drum machines were all the rage, there was something special about a pop song with some real, living, breathing drums carrying the weight that just hits harder.
6:40 - Holy shit! That's a laffo line! 🤣😆🤣😆
Breakfast Club!!! Watch the movie.
Or The Breakfast Club. That’s the movie it always brings back to mind for me.
Great song. Great reaction. How bout that drummer. Slick and polished sound.
I've always thought it sounds like a spirit calling. I picture it in a cemetery. " Will you walk on by, will you walk away, will you call my name?"
Everything in the movie is so true, i know because i lived it. This song brings back another time where everything was different and people had respect for each other.
This was huge my senior year in high school totally brings a white brother back in time 😂
I havent heard many reactors react to the lyrics or even hear them. I like this about you.
From one of the defining movies of the 80's!
I love this song
