Hello Jordan, I'm from Rosales, Pangasinan, Philippines and am easily a 3.0-3.5 player, I have been watching your videos since 2020 when I first learned how to play Pickleball. Your videos have helped me a lot in improving my games, the drills, the techniques, I have applied in all my games. And now our Club, San Pedro East Pickleball Club, has been conducting free clinics for all ages but mostly kids from 5 years old and above, and we have been incorporating your training videos to our clinics. We are now bringing the free clinics to the 37 Barangays/Local Communities within our municipality. Thank you for these instructional videos, we wish you more subscribers, God bless you in everything that you do.
I love these drills! If you haven't downloaded his drills I recommend doing so. I just started working with these drills and am noticing my play improve. I would be interested in knowing how much time Jordon recommends practicing over playing. What is the best combination? I have been playing for 6 months and want to continue to improve. Also, how much should we play against people slightly under your skill level, equal to your skill level, and those above. I do believe variety will help the most.
Once again my friend, you've put together some great stuff.. "Straight on volleys"..try having 1 Xtra person on either side, trailing the players and TOSSING balls into their volley. Use a different color ball but they will have to NOT be distracted and focus only on their ball.. Try it... Take care, Kev- P.S. you coming out to San Diego for Western Regionals in May??
Can you help us with a ruling regarding out balls? I tell my ppl. “The very bottom of the ball is the point of contact. If that point of contact is outside the line, then that ball is out”. Am I correct?
The ball isn't going faster as you get closer to each other. It's going the same speed, but the distance is shorter, so it gets there quicker. There is less reaction time. Time to react is shorter.
Thanks Jordan, I always find paddle set ups to be very intriguing as there really isn’t one or even 2 ways the majority of players do it. Very interesting that you play with what I feel most would consider a light weight paddle
Found myself adding weight to my Babolat to push it to a crazy weight (for me) of 8.3 oz. I'll only go that high if it still feels like it's evenly balanced.

If you’re serious about improvement, drill 2 times more than you play. I would play your skill level or higher if you can.

Try it...
Take care,
Kev-
P.S. you coming out to San Diego for Western Regionals in May??
No… not traveling right now… maybe in the future!
yahoo...... great progression of drills!
😊😊👍🏻
Excellent !
Thanks!!
So even with punch volleys, the grip pressure should be light (like a 3 or 4)?
I’m around a 5 or 6
Can you help us with a ruling regarding out balls? I tell my ppl. “The very bottom of the ball is the point of contact. If that point of contact is outside the line, then that ball is out”. Am I correct?
If it’s clearly out by eye, it’s out. If not, it’s in.
Awesome! Just need a good drilling partner!
Thanks Leonard!
Me too! LOL
I was wondering ur opinion on the Joola Vision vs CRBN paddles?
Both great paddles! Hope to do a review soon.
I love this video! My biggest problem is finding people who want to do this. They all want to play games.
Yes I understand. They’re out there, you just gotta find someone that’s dedicated to improve!
Me too- where do you live?
AZ
I need a good video for drills against a practice wall.... sometimes hard to find a partner for drills

Wow! What a focused practice session. Will be implementing this one!
Thanks Alan !
What is your main grip, eastern or continental?
Depends on the shot, when I’m hitting topspin I’m usually in eastern, everything else is in continental.
Wow!!!
👍🏻😊
Is this the same guy in prime time pickelball
Yes. Make sure to subscribe here on our new channel! 😊
No this guy is better! Hah😃

Good drill but on the diagonal volleys you are hitting a lot of out balls

Jordan how much does your paddle weigh? Do you add any weight? If you do where on the paddle? Thanks!
Currently around 8.0, and I don’t add weight right now.

Lighter paddle quicker hands
