I laughed out loud when you were talking about how people would open the case back and leave fingerprints on the dust cover. "Very disrespectful" was exactly what I was thinking a moment before you said it. Cheers!
Good to see you posting after far too long William - must admit the 2998-5 isn't my favourite iteration of Speedmaster, but the authentic 321 movement looks very appealing here (which I suspect would be the main reason to have prompted the purchase.....as you clearly have far better examples in your collection)....
I just joined your channel and your honest assessments of watch parts as terrible instead of saying they have "lovely patina" is refreshing in the current "watch collecting" climate. Well done.

Yes, it is a pet peeve of mine at auctions - especially when you know the person touching it has no intention of buying it - just leaving their DNA.

Thank you for kind words
I think now prices are fallen, the 2998 is an attractive option

Thank you
Glad to see you back!
Excellent, such an education.
I love your videos. It’s like watching someone discussing cigar tasting notes as you through a Speedmaster.
Thanks - Appreciate that!
Should be great fun to have , thanks for the video. I have a 68 don Speedmaster that I got about a year .
Enjoy it
I always look forward to your next video! Thank you
Glad you like them!
looks like an honest piece. A watch that looks as this does but funtions like it just left the factory is so so cool to me
Indeed - it seems original and complete, bar the crown
Another vid with good info. Also what is that caseback opener?

Is that not the original lead gasket and not corrosion. Lead gaskets on Speedy’s were standard back then. Cheers, Geoff
Thank you - I have not heard that before, I am always happy to be learning.
I have missed your content! Will you be selling any 321"s in the near future?
Not until next year - its very difficult to find nice ones that are appropriately priced.
Fantastic video. Where did you get that caseback opener Sir?
