My reverb C1 after about 15 rides became squashy. I took saddle off, bled the dropper with the tool they provided and since then I had to repeat this process after every ride. Sent dropper back to retailer and I'm waiting for full refund
@Mattys Garage Trust me, you made a wise choice so i can't agree with the fellow above because they are all pretty much the same...this isn't really revolutionary tech, only thing you pay more is the name. Only difference between them is return speed and it really doesn't matter if its 0.5 or 0.6 sec. Also, you don't have to adjust pressure because most sizes come with sealed cartridge at 300 psi i think so you install the thing, ride and worry about nothing...:)
yep I got in trouble for pointing out the brand x was missing last time they did one of these test for a cheap post it's spot on never had a problem with mine in three yrs of use
I love my new fox. The old one wasn't designed as good because of the way it bolts to the seat. The old one had no forward tilt making it for vertical seat tubes.
I've had the Birzman tool kit for a year, and it is really good. However, I've had 2 of the tools break-- the flat blade screwdriver pushed into the handle when I used it as a chisel, and the file broke in half when I used it as a pry-bar. Sure, these aren't the recommended uses of the tools but when it's your only tool box you have to improvise.
Are there any worth wile droppers other than the Bikeyoke ones? sure it's not the cheapest. but it sure its bombproof. Got mine after sending the one I got with my bike back for warranty 3 times in 3 months. fitted it and other than taking it out for cleaning gunk out of the seat tube and fitting a new cable. haven't touched it until recently since I got it 3 years ago. super easy to take apart for cleaning. Already planning on getting a 2nd one for my next bike.
Bought a hightower in June, and it has been squishy since oktober, and even a reset before a ride doesn't work for long. Might just pick up a bike yoke or fox transfer.
So c1 reverb issues not in rear view mirror. After 2 rebuilds on mine in 6 months the replacement post (under warranty) will be sold. The new bleed valve doesn’t bloody work either. On the other hand it performs really well when it’s working - which kind of adds to the disappointment.
If you go to check out the full shootout feature on our site, you'll see that we discuss it there. We didn't include it because it really sits in a price category of its own, but we did say in our standalone review of the AXS that it may well be "the dropper perfected".

What's scary about that dropper is that anyone can loosen your seat collar and rip it off. I've heard great things about it but that kind of scares me.
Thank you for this! I'm in the market for a new dropper, and this video helped me choose.
We're glad it was useful!
What did you chose. Am in the market as well.
I like his reviews the most. I always get excited when it pops up in my TH-cam feed 👍👍👍

Brand-X Ascend is missing here because for the price i think its awesome.
It just works.
It works, but it feels cheap and isn't very high quality.

can everyone stop talking about how good the brand x posts are? the price has gone up £30 in the last 2 years!

First impressions : a missed opportunity for a Star Wars lightsaber reference. :D

Did they have to point out my saggy post? 😟
Just ordered the OneUp v2 with the PNW Loam lever. Hopefully it lives up to the hype.
I have this setup for almost a year and it is sweet!
Great video ,subbed .
Fox Transfer Post all day, every day. Never had one fail. As for the Reverb? They always fail in my opinion.
I agree I have a reverb and it’s always breaking
I've had mine for 2 seasons... not a problem!
I use the sram butter once in a while
Oh yes, just what I was looking for

As a mechanic, i run a pnw Rainier gen 3, it is the smoothest dropper that I've had the pleasure of working on and sits at way less than a bike yoke
@@lucried7653 PNW Bachelor, really nice dropper post, very smooth, never an issue and paddle shifter is super comfortable in several colors.
worthwhile

Such excellent content!!
great video! Instant sub! :D

Yt we want water bottle holders on the bikes!! Can it be that hard?
my 2015 rs reverb is all good until now. i only service it once.
Same. It's weirdly reliable.
Starts at 6:37. You're welcome.
Nice vid I was just wondering what are the grey grips on those lovely burgtec bars they look nice and thick
Deity Supracush. They are awesome!
God damn I want one if these droppers but they are basically 25% of the cost of my pre owned mtb. Very expensive!
Owner of number 4, 210mm
How about telling us about: how long between rebuilding
how much it cost to rebuild
and if it is user serviceable?
Go to their website for the extended version.
I swear this looks like it was filmed in Israel
i have a PNW external dropper. 280.00usd lifetime warrantee
Thought this was about droppers... ?
No comment or rating on the Reverb ASX wireless dropper which in my opinion is by far the best dropper on the planet today ?

LOL wanna spend way to much on something that’s relatively unnecessary
*axs
@@bananasstuff3344 Noted !!🙈
@@edknight5888 a dropper is relatively as unnecessary as gears and suspension
What about the rockshox reverb axs

Not because to buy It I need to sell my house

Nice!
Good commercial.
I wish my bike allowed a dropper post. It's a customer carbon fiber frame which has a proprietary seat post.
I think you have to buy their own brand of water bottles.

Ok
Really, just a boring and copied shoe to me, with ugly cammo graphics on them! Good try though. The brown shoes look like descent shoes though.
