Dear Chew on this travel. Thank you for your stunning video. Which hike (and eventually, specific dates) did you hike the Gokyo trek? And would you recommend this period during the year? Thanks in advance! Kind Regards Amalie (from Denmark)

Hello…my favourite topic. I recommend you check out my friends site, sherpaholidays.net, to see the Everest region treks they have. I have done three of them. Everest base camp of course is the shortest and busiest. The one I did last year was Gokyo Lakes, which includes Gokyo trek with Gokyo Ri, and then connect to the Everest base camp trek via phortse…alternatively you could take the route over cho la pass, but trust me it is much harder. The other one I’ve done is Everest three passes trek, but this is a very long hard trek…would recommend only if you’re young or fit and maybe have some experience. You can also highly tailor these, so as my friends stopped midway and I’d been to EBC twice before I went to island peak base camp instead. I was there last in March and it is a good time to go…I actually prefer February as it has far fewer tourists, but it is also colder. I will be going back to Nepal shortly too, doing a custom trek you’ve never heard of, and with much better camera equipment this time! So please stay tuned and subscribe!
