The GBD 200 is an aesthetically strong timepiece that perfectly complements any situation. Its design exudes confidence, making it an ideal accessory whether you're in a business meeting or enjoying a casual outing. The robust build and sleek look not only enhance your style but also give you the assurance of durability and performance. This watch truly stands out, providing both functionality and a confident feel to its wearer.
Just got the gbd... I was waiting more than year to find the gbx in Sweden, it never appeared. I am so happy with the gbd. That could sell for more than 500$. Love it.
I got my GBD 200 today. I settled on one of the two newer variants, that being the purple. Surprisingly under indoor lighting, it looks more black than anything. The only purple I really notice is the two parts that attach the strap to the case. It's a great looking watch.
The Gbx would be the choice for me one million percent. The GBD is more of a workout watch, while the GBX is more of a outdoors sports watch, which aligns better with me Just the fact alone the GBD doesn't have a countdown timer is a deal breaker for me personally, and would make me opt for GBX for that reason alone. Plus I really like the tide and moon graph in the G-lide, and the sunrise and sunset graph as well
Bought the 200 about 4 weeks ago for an everyday watch. Comfortable strong good casual looking watch. Two gripes #1 is cannot set alarm up for the same time on different days. #2 once connected to my phone, if I go out of reach of the Bluetooth, it doesn't automatically reconnect to my phone again. But love the big numbers which is why I went digital.
Solid video brother. Definitely going to pick up that surf version, very good to have here in Hawaii. Didn’t know these were MIP screens too big bonus for me! Mahalo 🤙
Nice video! Really like both... however, are you able to tell us if you can set the date to a UK format? I honestly cannot bear a US date format - I've sold so many watches because of this.
I prepare the gbd-200. For my taste, it has a better look and it connects to the phone’s gps. I don’t swim, so I don’t care about the gbx-100, and it does not connect to the phone’s gps.
It's a bit strange to say it really doesn't matter which one you choose. If your a surfer or you live on an island that's only accessible at low tide or you like to walk your dog on the beach when the tides out, then it really does matter which one you choose.
I'm not living near a coast but I like the sunr and moon data the GBX has. And besides that I like the stainless steel on the GBX. So It all comes down to what you're looking for.
I regularly rode motorbikes and drive cars on the beach and use the tide a lot. It blows my mind how few watches have the tide on it. Especially expensive garmins etc that would be a simple layer of coding not any more hardware etc.
Dan, they both have the world time dual display mode. I've seen it on a different video. Personally i love the display, but I'd gladly trade the bluetooth and apps for tough solar. I know the battery is cheap but I just wonder how opening the watch affects waterproofing.
Does anyone know if the module of the 100 fits the 200? I like the features of the 100 but prefer to keep the wrist guards on the 200 and maybe a module swap can fix it or even better if the bands are interchangeable? Also does he GBX-100NS have GPS?
Once I wear a watch, I won't take it off for a long time and It'll be there even while bathing and everyday tasks. Can GBD 200 sustain that? I've heard somewhere that we can't use it around water. Anyone please help me here?
I don't suppose they got a Smartwatch with a media control button do they Casio is pretty interesting and I got one of their regular digital watch with military time and 12hr format.
Thank you so much for this video I bought the Gbd200 today (H.Samuels) £97.00 30% off Rrp just cos I seen your review all the best from sunny Glasgow 🇬🇧
Wrist Guards were a deal breaker for me. It just changes the game a bit. But I guess if your a surfer, the GBX-100 is the way to go? Thanks for sharing.
It would be the opposite for me. I really appreciate the tide and moon graph, and the sunrise/sunset time, in the G-lide Casio watches. And the fact the GBX has a countdown timer is a huge plus for me, cause it's the most useful feature in a watch for me
I'd love to know your definition of functionality, and I find one thing these watches do not do is consistently connect and the smart feature is a gimmick..
I like everything about the GBD better, except the GBX shows the sunrise/sunset times which as someone working in video is something I often need to know.
what you get is functions that are almost identical... but I'm not going to tell you what differences there are, or why you might chose one over the other.. so in essence, this whole video is as useful as a side by side picture that would save you 6.20 of your life... :(
I have the GBX but it's so bad at many things. Extremely laggy menus and "smart" features that just don't work. All I wanted was a vibration notification for text messages and incoming calls but they even couldn't get that to work (a $10 smart watch from China can do that right). If they'd upgraded the firmware to solve all the issues it would be fine but instead they just abandoned it, leaving their customers behind as beta testers. Booo Casio 😡

Lol you are between 20 and 30 years of age I guess? A G-shock for a business meeting... hahaha

Tough solar version of this watch would be 💯

I love my GBD200 I wear it everyday for work out and also at work. Also a great companion when going on holiday as it can be worn in pool and sea
I like how the 200 looks much more. Probably will not even connect it to my phone once it arrives. Just use it as a watch.

Wait- you can’t set a daily recurring alarm? What about a quick timer? Seems like interval only
@@RyanAlca "on different days" not daily.

you can change the format
lol
You cannot change the date format. It will be: month day year
I like the design of the GBD 200, but I like the features of the GBX 100, can you change the firmware?
I prepare the gbd-200. For my taste, it has a better look and it connects to the phone’s gps.
I don’t swim, so I don’t care about the gbx-100, and it does not connect to the phone’s gps.
i wonder if you can fit the GBD wrist straps onto the GBX 100 for those ergonomic molds

Thanks for the review, could you comment on the vibration of the watches, which do you think is stronger
I don't think the gbx can display 2 timezones on the same screen. Bit of a deal breaker if using as a travel watch.
Dan, they both have the world time dual display mode. I've seen it on a different video. Personally i love the display, but I'd gladly trade the bluetooth and apps for tough solar. I know the battery is cheap but I just wonder how opening the watch affects waterproofing.
Hello, can you tell me why there is an "S" engraved onto the caseback? Thanks.
Thanks for this comparison! Do you know if the GBX-100NS accepts the combi bracelet (S-1458N) ?
Does anyone know if the module of the 100 fits the 200? I like the features of the 100 but prefer to keep the wrist guards on the 200 and maybe a module swap can fix it or even better if the bands are interchangeable? Also does he GBX-100NS have GPS?
Ypu can swap the modules, I'm thinking of doing the same.
Great review. On the app. Cant the font or text be inlarge? I cant read small text
Once I wear a watch, I won't take it off for a long time and It'll be there even while bathing and everyday tasks. Can GBD 200 sustain that? I've heard somewhere that we can't use it around water. Anyone please help me here?
is it true that the GBX 100 metal bezel scratches easily???
Can you get the same big display on a solar version?
I don't suppose they got a Smartwatch with a media control button do they Casio is pretty interesting and I got one of their regular digital watch with military time and 12hr format.

That’s awesome! Hope you enjoy it, and that’s a solid price!
@Paul W.A 😂😂😂😂 True especially the east end of the city full of beggars in green and white
Do they both have auto light?
yes they both do
Wrist Guards were a deal breaker for me. It just changes the game a bit. But I guess if your a surfer, the GBX-100 is the way to go?
Thanks for sharing.
It's impossible to compare these two watches. The 100 is a specialist surf watch and the other is not.
gbx100 can use gbd 200 strap ?
Are the straps interchangeable?
I Prefer the gbd 200… looks better.. and I don’t swim 🏊♂️ don’t like the bronze face on the gbx 👎🏻
Gbx100 comes in different colors, too
Looks better blacked out version.. here's my video review of it th-cam.com/video/bPswhrBHA-s/w-d-xo.html
Not ti mention that metal is so soft and scretches easly
It would be the opposite for me. I really appreciate the tide and moon graph, and the sunrise/sunset time, in the G-lide Casio watches. And the fact the GBX has a countdown timer is a huge plus for me, cause it's the most useful feature in a watch for me
I'd go for the gbd 200, there is no point in having those waves feature if you're not using them 🤷
My dream watch is g shock gbx100ns4er
I'd love to know your definition of functionality, and I find one thing these watches do not do is consistently connect and the smart feature is a gimmick..
Can I swim with gbd200?
Whats is your wrist size
Just say which one you prefer instead of sitting on the fence.
He did, he preferred the GBX
What’s with reviewers not showing the backlight so annoying
Nice video
Gbd200 suitable for women?
To be honest I opened the video in order to see the dimensions comparison)
❤
If only the wrist was like the 5600 on the GBD
at my place the gbd 200 more expensive
I like everything about the GBD better, except the GBX shows the sunrise/sunset times which as someone working in video is something I often need to know.
Kya praise
Battery life, I’m not crazy about
Kurde, nie idzie dostać metalowego czarnego.
More features on the gbx
Gbd200uu is best
from what I've read, the GBX tide tables are way out & so are totally useless - just a gimmick.

Hello, what is the difference between GBX100-1idr and GBX100NS?
Is it just the color ?
Yes
Dr- domestic retail
Yes just the color.
Hello sir
It is not gbx 100ns

He did tell you. Tide and sunrise times. That’s it.

ALE KIETA
$150 watches not a budget watch just to let you know you must be one of those Rich snobs
This isn't about budget watches, it's about budget G-Shock watches. £110~ is cheap for a G-Shock.
in a world where people pay literally millions of dollars for a watch, yeah I would say 150 is budget
These are budget watches. Go look titanium g-shock. It is 1.700$.
En Peru el GBD 200 me costó 215 dólares, es un escándalo, pero igual lo compré pagando capricho. Todos los relojes por aquí tienen altos costos.
