When Hilde debuted I really didn't care for her, I thought her design was bland, her backstory was never really demonstrated in a scene ever (even in the next game) and her moveset was just...bizzare (a lance and a knife?), but I think they did a decent job in SCVI re-introducing her, still not much of a fan of the character, but I do like her better in VI than in IV and V.
I think there's a couple characters like that, some make an impression others need work the next game. Her moveset was supposed to be balanced, quick but weak attacks from the knife, strong but slow attacks from the spear, both with varying range, and her attacks can be charged. Her character keeps undergoing changes in moveset for two reasons, her moves are tricky to get the hang of, which goes against the intent of her being a beginner friendly character, and because if you master her moveset she becomes so broken she has been banned from every soul calibur tournament. As for her story, iv didn't go into too much detail of every character and v only had a quarter of the story in game, so she really did get the short end of the stick.
Hmm... When I see that outfit Hilde was wearing with Grøh... For some reason I thought about this Pegasus Knight from Fire Emblem... You know about this woman? Red hair, white clothing, voice sounding similar, and having a book called "Make Him Fall for You in a Fortnight"? ...No? Never mind.
Groh really out here dropping wisdom about shouting
The interactions with Grøh are hilarious. 😂
Amazing interactions with Grøh.
Ah yes, shouting the name of your attack to make it stronger - anime 101
"Your power is beyond human"
*says while barely any of her health is drained*
damn Groh really is a cool guy
So, when Aval org helped to tackle King George, Groh and Curtis was once serve as instructors for the Silver Wolves
Groh got long interactings with Hilde lol
