Music is a subjective thing and everyone can make their own interpretation, wonderful . But the music was written in the context of Unknown Soldiers, the same one that The tomb of the unknown soldier commemorates. A lot of countries have this monument, here in Canada it’s in Ottawa, in confederation square. It’s still a good song to make your own interpretation of, the lyrics are vague, and I like it this way.
I think your comment would have been 10 times better if you were to remove, "If you aren't, that's you" and, "I'm not here to judge you" - In my world, being Christian isn't synonymous with being nice or good.
My Dad's been in the Army for 26 years, and he stayed enlisted because u help more people on the battlefield then sitting behind a desk. @Silver200916 my dad was in for 22 years. He never regretted it. He's out now working in a veterans center. He was on the first ship to Iraq. The day the twin towers fell I was three. No man thinks about killing himself more than a combat veteran... I'm a breathing example. It's just nobody trained us to deal with all the bullshit that occurs in the civilian world, emotionally. People don't take the time to come to understand you, they just want you to understand and do for them. It's fucking pathetic and they wonder why PTSD is so invisible.

This song makes me feel...sad, but a good sad. Breaking Benjamin is one of the best bands I have ever listened to and I listen to their music almost every day.
I am tired of the political arguments on youtube. TH-cam put the comment system on so people might say INTELLIGENT things that express their opinion. If you can't stand behind our warriors, stand infront of them. If you can't do that, keep your mouth SHUT.
What you just said makes no sense and it's even worse that people are agreeing with you. Talk about irony, the very stupid people you are complaining about seems to be yourself.
So only what you agree with is an intelligent opinion then? Funny, I thought a mark of intelligence was the ability to understand other people's opinions, even if you don't agree with them. Also, in front is two words, not one.
+DJ JD Intelligence can be defined in numerous ways and no I don't think every statement I agree with are intelligent ones, but based on whatever nonsense the guys above me are talking about I can confidently say they're the stupid ones.

this song is such a strong reminder of my favorite character: flippy (HTF) he is a vietnam veteran and when he was in the war he saw his brother die trying to save him. that in turn made him go crazy so now everytime he hears or sees something that reminds him of the war he goes into a killing spree beyond control. he wants to be shown how to dream in black and white...
Being a Child and Being in Childhood are two different things. The first describes mental and emotional maturity. The second describes physiological maturity. Those who throw around the word 'child' to dismiss the arguments of someone in childhood out of hand, are often more deserving of the title.

The moment at 1:30: the "climbing to heaven" and "I'll be left behind" lyrics are a metaphor. They mean that the soldier mentioned is willing to stay back and fight while his allies leave to live another day.

I appreciate you, and all of the brave soldiers who protect our country. Thank you.
My grandfather was in the Air Force, my step-dad was in the Navy, my cousin is currently in the Navy, and my uncle was in the Army.
I've been listening to their songs, and they are now my favorite band
No man thinks about killing himself more than a combat veteran... I'm a breathing example. It's just nobody trained us to deal with all the bullshit that occurs in the civilian world, emotionally. People don't take the time to come to understand you, they just want you to understand and do for them. It's fucking pathetic and they wonder why PTSD is so invisible.
Taylor Grimsdottir-Jackson any PTSD victim wants to die. Not just army veterans. Thank you for your service, but I’m sick and tired of people telling me that I don’t truly have PTSD because I didn’t serve
Taylor Grimsdottir-Jackson I’m a brother of yours and I understand. Don’t let it get to you. We’re fighting for each other now after what we’ve been through, and we need to keep fighting in the civi life brother. We’ve seen more than any one else and need to take pride in it rather than it drag us down
dude... they sign up for it and they're from the civilian world in the first place don't pretend it's something new. your just looking for pity in the comment section. if your gonna bitch about it for the rest of your fucking life just don't sign the fuck up moron. with the internet around you can no longer use the excuse "i didn't know what i was signing up for" so just man up and deal with it like everyone else.
@@kinshaw3086 seriously, this how you treat the people who serve. Who fight wars on our behalf. You don't know these people, nor know what they have gone through, so show some respect. Or if you can't do that, at least keep your mouth shut so your not potentially offending people for nothing but your own enjoyment
@@empireproductions1321 if your doing it for attention then i do mean to offend you, my dad served and i love him to death but even he's sick of you people bitching about ptsd all the time.
This song makes me feel...sad, but a good sad. Breaking Benjamin is one of the best bands I have ever listened to and I listen to their music almost every day.
The first song of theirs I heard and one of my absolute favorites to this date
Made me cry after loosing my grandpa. He was the coolest guy I will ever know...*sniff*.... miss you!!
love this song its awsome.
so inspiring, unbelievable this makes me think about life..
This song gives me strong Berserk vibes. Like the meaning and lyrics almost all fit with the story and themes and shit.
Rip Kentaro Miura😭
loving this song
1: Unknown solider 2: Dear agony 3: Diary of Jane 4: Dance with the Devil 5: Evil angel. My faves.
I am tired of the political arguments on youtube. TH-cam put the comment system on so people might say INTELLIGENT things that express their opinion. If you can't stand behind our warriors, stand infront of them. If you can't do that, keep your mouth
SHUT.
Couldn't have said it better myself.
Perfectlly said, I hate the thing that every damn word starts a fucking debate.
I'm crying right now... This song is so beautiful...
the best thing i liike about this band..is that i hear alot of it songs but some i dont really like, then after a time passed..i turn to thoes songs and then i found them one of the best and that i was very stupid at the 1st time..really this band is legendary..the song is amazing and very meaningful...thank you Breaking Benjamin :)
thank you very much
this song is such a strong reminder of my favorite character: flippy (HTF) he is a vietnam veteran and when he was in the war he saw his brother die trying to save him. that in turn made him go crazy so now everytime he hears or sees something that reminds him of the war he goes into a killing spree beyond control. he wants to be shown how to dream in black and white...
May 2024 and I still can't stop listening to this song
I'm pretty certain this song is about BPD (Borderline Personality Disorder)
"Borderline, dead inside, i don't mind, falling to pieces..." Yup
And show me what its like to dream in black and white
Mavvx Yes. Especially that the first word is borderline.
Being a Child and Being in Childhood are two different things. The first describes mental and emotional maturity. The second describes physiological maturity.
Those who throw around the word 'child' to dismiss the arguments of someone in childhood out of hand, are often more deserving of the title.
haters cant tell that this is some badass rock
#1 Favorite Band

(My Rock) every single time.what a day it has been.i need you yet I can't find you.was that you? I see the truth.where are you my little friends?my new friend has a collection.there.i want to get to you.i see your face.ill grip on the sky.vanish into the darkness.
I am a fallen soldier of Christ ... And I feel when day of judment comes I will be like an " unknown soldier " of God , couse as bible says we are solider of Christ but I have fallen apart from him ... no one will know who I am / Mattew 7:21 /
Perfect Music!
The moment at 1:30: the "climbing to heaven" and "I'll be left behind" lyrics are a metaphor. They mean that the soldier mentioned is willing to stay back and fight while his allies leave to live another day.
awsome song
Love this song!
m just an unknown soldier. no need to show my weakness, strength, or how cold. i am upraiser. never fall, just gain, n never forget.
Favorite BB song.
