The system is just not right. First class I remember asking my Lawyer Prof " Justice isn't very Just" after he taught us about a disappointing case. He told me that " justice is in the eye of the beholder." He said that "juries can do strange and wonderous things." They don't always hand down the right verdict, for sure.
