Great thinking. It's just difficult to justify the tone of acoustic guitar over TH-cam since the sound goes through many mediums.
Second guitar sounds smoother to me.
Awesome video, very helpful!
Agree with you completely... it's just indulgence, don't buy the cheapest either.
I think the 800 price point for professional-level playing is great, I got my Yamaha ACR-1 (not quite the price point at 700 but close to it) and the bass is brought out and the sound is fuller than my dad's 350 acoustic. That being said, the Moon handmade guitar had so much more balance in tone than the Martin that if your entire life is off making music, then that investment is definitely worth it. I feel like Nylon-string classical guitars really showcase the worth of a pricey guitar and the richness you can get from a handmade body. I couldn't agree more though, great video!
I love my Alvarez AD60. Solid A+ top, bone nut and saddle. The laminate mahogany is actually three layers of Khaya not filler wood. Think it was about £279. One day I might get one of their all solid models
edit: sorry for the advert lol I just think it's a great option. Much better than my first around £100 like you said
Not heard of them but I’ll definitely check them out!
Thanks for the tips and for all the amazingvideos- so helpful🙏. What do you think of lag guitars? Do you have a suggestion for an acoustic guitar around the price range you mentioned- 300 to 500 for moving on from beginner - no need for electric acoustic.
You're welcome! I've actually not heard of Lag guitars but I'll check them out. I'd recommend the Takamine GD30CE, that's the guitar I used before I got the Moon.
Martin sounds better to me compared to the Moon!
The big baby Taylor is super affordable and high quality sound! my favorite guitar out of any price range!!!!

Very nearly bought one of those myself a few years ago, Taylor are one of my favourite brands for sure
