Yes. Plus allowance for emergency purchases we need to make. I remember nakulangan ako ng outfit sa Vegas and all I had left were cocktail dresses eh ang casual ng activity, so I had to run to a Forever 21 store to get cute outfits 😅 Although the international pageants pretty much takes care of everything already so we don’t really get to spend our allowance.
Yes, we do our own makeup! Mas preferred yun actually assuming we mastered it na before flying out to compete. May option naman to get done by their provided stylists, but you’ll have to fall in line and that takes quite a while. Kakabahan ka na talaga kung magagawa nila ang look mo on time 🙈

My funny story when I joined a pageant 2yrs ago.. _(this may be inspirational pag no budget ka)_ In the early stages (audition & trainings) I was just so into it for the experience so I am just having fun and being happy go lucky type of candidate. Tawa tawa lang ganern. Then on prelim day, I was shookt😂 kasi may glam team sila lahat! As in lahat sila may glam team and supporters na backstage and as I entered the room (just right on time sa sinabing start ng prep time kasi malapit lang naman din pinanggalingan ko) andun na sila lahat (except yung isa kong kasabay na guy candidate naman), many of the people inside didn't even recognize me as a candidate besides my co-candidates of course. As in pagpasok ko, "luh?? daming tao" tapos kani-kaniya silang tayo ng ring lights tas may male-maleta sila ng makeup tapos ako yung ring light ko lang yung pangselfie tas yung makeup ko, isang pouch lang😂 hahahaha tho for me, adequately lighted naman na yung backstage and I can work without extra lighting. Tapos tinanong pa nila ako, "sino magmemake up sayo?" hahahaha I was like, "ako" 😂😂 honestly, shookt talaga ako lalo nung nalaman kong they paid 2-5k for their glam teams. And I honestly don't have that amount😂 tawa lang talaga mailalabas ko. hahaha may nagbabasa pa ba? nawili ako magreminisce eh hahaha anyway,.. good thing, I have background naman in doing makeup tapos may natuwa kasi sakin yung bayot kong friend na part pala ng glam team ng isang candidate tapos tinulungan niya ako (maganda kasi yung may insight from others on how you look para alam mo din kung paano ka nagpoproject sa viewers) tas walang bayad yun, nagtatawanan lang kami. AY ETO PA PALA😂 nung photoshoot para sa mga ilalabas na photos hahahaha Wala akong outfit!!😂 luckily, may isang candidate na may extra outfit and kind enough to lend me hahahaha ayun nagkagown ako😂 HAHAHA sa shoot, di pa ako gaanong shookt sa paglam team nila kasi lowkey pa sila eh. walang pailaw kasi nasa studio nmn. Sa sobrang happy go lucky ko, nakalimutan ko ata yung pageant😂 Exactly 24hrs before the coronation night, *wala pang outfit si bakla* 😂 hahaha pero nakahanap ako, God provided hahahaha 🙌 The big day came and hindi parin natuto ang ate niyo, mas shookt nanaman sa mga glam team at pagpasok ko sa backstage medj late kasi may mga inasikaso pa ako after briefing and practice, bale 2hrs before start, nagreready na sila.. ako, losyang pa. tas tinatawanan na ako nung friend ko ngang bayot kasi kasali pa daw ba ako😂 sabi ko hinihintay ko lang dumating yung kaisa-isang ginastusan ko sa buong pageant na to (2k ata yun?) ... eh nalate! hahaha kaya sinimulan ko nalang magkilay at magpundasyon lalo na matigyawat pa ako that time kaya madaming ico-_conceal don't feel, don't let them knooww_ hahaha in the end, naguwi parin ako ng corona 👑 *(di yung virus ha!)* hahaha akalain niyo yun. sa stage lang talaga ako umaayos. i'm like a different person on stage nga daw. Ngiti ngiti kadalasan, fierce fierce-an pag kailangan,.. project kung project ganern! kasi siyempre ayoko namang magsisi sa pinasok kong yun someday kasi dahil mukhang tanga parin onstage kaya ginalingan ko na. ayokong magmukhang katawa-tawa no. baka mahalata nilang wala akong pera😂 kaya mukhang donya ako sa spotlight pero backstage, i'm 1/4 tao 1/4 walang pera 1/4 tigyawat at 1/4 tawa. Be yourself, be confident and the rest will follow.. Alalahanin pag walng budget (tapos di naman international/national pageant), magfocus nalang sa criteria then prioritize. Wala sa criteria ang pagkakaroon ng glam team (NO HATES SA MAY GLAM TEAM pero glam teams really help ng sobra kasi nakakafresh talaga na alam mong anjan sila for you and may tutulong sayo. support system kumbaga💓) pero dapat presentable ka kaya dun ka magfocus, kung paano mo dadalhin yung sarili mo and it's gonna help you alot pag alam mong makeupan sarilin mo. Well kani-kaniyang situation naman din kasi yan. Ako kasi that time, I sort of have no one. sinikreto ko kasi sa family ko yun hehe.. and alam kong walang cash prize, eh that time pag nagspend pa ako, walang matitira sakin kahit manalo pa. So I really needed to work with what I have. Yung napanalunan ko pa ngang 15k worth of scholarship voucher sa isang Flight Attendant school, binenta ko ng 10k para may pamasahe pa akong pumunta ng school nun habang di pa ako pinapadalhan ng allowance ulit since nagastos ko nga yung 2k sa pageant.. eh kaso inutang din ng bumili yung 5k.. hanggang ngayon, di pa bayad hahaha nu kaya yun? 😂 nahiya na ako maningil. iniisip niya ata wala naman akong ginastusan kaya di niya need bayaran pa. Di niya alam yung naging struggle💔 hahaha chour! anubato angdaldal ko. salamat sa nagbasa. manonood na ako crash landing on you. bye
Paano pa ang mga gowns, tapos wala pang sponsors? Grabe sacrifice nila, tapos lait at bash lang makukuha nila kapag di nanalo o kaya sumablay sa Q&A,..

My funny story when I joined a pageant 2yrs ago.. _(this may be inspirational pag no budget ka)_
In the early stages (audition & trainings) I was just so into it for the experience so I am just having fun and being happy go lucky type of candidate. Tawa tawa lang ganern. Then on prelim day, I was shookt😂 kasi may glam team sila lahat! As in lahat sila may glam team and supporters na backstage and as I entered the room (just right on time sa sinabing start ng prep time kasi malapit lang naman din pinanggalingan ko) andun na sila lahat (except yung isa kong kasabay na guy candidate naman), many of the people inside didn't even recognize me as a candidate besides my co-candidates of course. As in pagpasok ko, "luh?? daming tao" tapos kani-kaniya silang tayo ng ring lights tas may male-maleta sila ng makeup tapos ako yung ring light ko lang yung pangselfie tas yung makeup ko, isang pouch lang😂 hahahaha tho for me, adequately lighted naman na yung backstage and I can work without extra lighting. Tapos tinanong pa nila ako, "sino magmemake up sayo?" hahahaha I was like, "ako" 😂😂 honestly, shookt talaga ako lalo nung nalaman kong they paid 2-5k for their glam teams. And I honestly don't have that amount😂 tawa lang talaga mailalabas ko. hahaha may nagbabasa pa ba? nawili ako magreminisce eh hahaha anyway,.. good thing, I have background naman in doing makeup tapos may natuwa kasi sakin yung bayot kong friend na part pala ng glam team ng isang candidate tapos tinulungan niya ako (maganda kasi yung may insight from others on how you look para alam mo din kung paano ka nagpoproject sa viewers) tas walang bayad yun, nagtatawanan lang kami. AY ETO PA PALA😂 nung photoshoot para sa mga ilalabas na photos hahahaha Wala akong outfit!!😂 luckily, may isang candidate na may extra outfit and kind enough to lend me hahahaha ayun nagkagown ako😂 HAHAHA sa shoot, di pa ako gaanong shookt sa paglam team nila kasi lowkey pa sila eh. walang pailaw kasi nasa studio nmn.
Sa sobrang happy go lucky ko, nakalimutan ko ata yung pageant😂 Exactly 24hrs before the coronation night, *wala pang outfit si bakla* 😂 hahaha pero nakahanap ako, God provided hahahaha 🙌 The big day came and hindi parin natuto ang ate niyo, mas shookt nanaman sa mga glam team at pagpasok ko sa backstage medj late kasi may mga inasikaso pa ako after briefing and practice, bale 2hrs before start, nagreready na sila.. ako, losyang pa. tas tinatawanan na ako nung friend ko ngang bayot kasi kasali pa daw ba ako😂 sabi ko hinihintay ko lang dumating yung kaisa-isang ginastusan ko sa buong pageant na to (2k ata yun?) ... eh nalate! hahaha kaya sinimulan ko nalang magkilay at magpundasyon lalo na matigyawat pa ako that time kaya madaming ico-_conceal don't feel, don't let them knooww_ hahaha in the end, naguwi parin ako ng corona 👑 *(di yung virus ha!)* hahaha akalain niyo yun. sa stage lang talaga ako umaayos. i'm like a different person on stage nga daw. Ngiti ngiti kadalasan, fierce fierce-an pag kailangan,.. project kung project ganern! kasi siyempre ayoko namang magsisi sa pinasok kong yun someday kasi dahil mukhang tanga parin onstage kaya ginalingan ko na. ayokong magmukhang katawa-tawa no. baka mahalata nilang wala akong pera😂 kaya mukhang donya ako sa spotlight pero backstage, i'm 1/4 tao 1/4 walang pera 1/4 tigyawat at 1/4 tawa. Be yourself, be confident and the rest will follow.. Alalahanin pag walng budget (tapos di naman international/national pageant), magfocus nalang sa criteria then prioritize. Wala sa criteria ang pagkakaroon ng glam team (NO HATES SA MAY GLAM TEAM pero glam teams really help ng sobra kasi nakakafresh talaga na alam mong anjan sila for you and may tutulong sayo. support system kumbaga💓) pero dapat presentable ka kaya dun ka magfocus, kung paano mo dadalhin yung sarili mo and it's gonna help you alot pag alam mong makeupan sarilin mo.
Well kani-kaniyang situation naman din kasi yan. Ako kasi that time, I sort of have no one. sinikreto ko kasi sa family ko yun hehe.. and alam kong walang cash prize, eh that time pag nagspend pa ako, walang matitira sakin kahit manalo pa. So I really needed to work with what I have. Yung napanalunan ko pa ngang 15k worth of scholarship voucher sa isang Flight Attendant school, binenta ko ng 10k para may pamasahe pa akong pumunta ng school nun habang di pa ako pinapadalhan ng allowance ulit since nagastos ko nga yung 2k sa pageant.. eh kaso inutang din ng bumili yung 5k.. hanggang ngayon, di pa bayad hahaha nu kaya yun? 😂 nahiya na ako maningil. iniisip niya ata wala naman akong ginastusan kaya di niya need bayaran pa. Di niya alam yung naging struggle💔 hahaha chour! anubato angdaldal ko. salamat sa nagbasa. manonood na ako crash landing on you. bye

Like seriously I want you to notice this Nicole "YOU DESERVE THE TITLE MISS UNIVERSE AFTER YOUR NAME" I get that you're already at the point of your life where you're contented and happy but WHAT IF. Why not try? Filipino people would go all out if you're the one to represent on the MU stage. I just don't like seeing that much potential getting wasted. YOU CAN DO IT! I just hope that fire burns again one day. Love youuu
