Okay, that is SO weird, I was JUST watching Mary Poppins yesterday, and was SPECIFICALLY talking to my mother about the robins. (Mostly that they looked like they were taxidermy, but still.)

I always admired the animatronic robins in Mary Poppins. I also admire Harriet’s work in a time where most women were housewives. She was truly a pioneer in many ways.
That's for sure! And it's a testament to Walt Disney for allowing Harriet to do so much of that as well - even when the unions said women weren't allowed to do some of that work. Did you see my other videos about Harriet?
The first time I heard you mention wind-up toys, I thought of Rolly Crump and all his spinner fascination. I wonder if Harriet and Rolly ever overlapped in collaboration.
