Yeah the auto-tune is a bit much, but it's only in place cause it fits the techno sound of the song. Su has very clearly shown us how well she can perform this.
@@Jordan-Ramses from what I've heard, I think her live voice isn't autotuned, but there's a backing track with the autotuned vocals. I still think it's just for the effect as rap isn't that strenuous.
The first time i listened to this song, I cringed a little bit at those auto-tunedk "ee's" at the end of most of the lines. But after hearing it a few more times, I think it fits the heavy, distorted, almost cyberpunk feeling of the track pretty well.
@@Soulbreeze me too. I thought it was a bit much at first, but I fell in love with the song after seeing the live fan cams and it's now my favourite off the album.
Good reaction - and, as has been said already, Su singing this live is more than capable of hitting all those notes without any help ... there is a backing track for some harmonies and effects but she does the pitching up at the end of the words herself. They played this throughout the European tour earlier this year and took the roof off every venue with it.
I think the question when creatimg BxMxC was not if Su is capable of doing that without autotune. The question was what it sounds like if you give Su autotune to play with. To make autotune switch tones multiple times exactly when you want them to switch requires quite some talent as well. Btw the part without instrument doesnt sound autotuned to me. Su battling and beating her autotuned self?
I think everyone has covered the auto-tune issue, but definitely check out either a fancam from Europe earlier this year, or even the pro shot version from their Legend - Metal Galaxy show that just released last month to hear Su actually hit those notes. The song name is, apparently now confirmed, to mean “BABYMETAL Cypher”, however there is a fan rumor/theory that it means “Bring Moa Chicken”. This is because Moa, the one with pigtails that doesn’t sing in this, is a huge foodie. She brings it up even when it isn’t part of the conversation. She was part of an interview last year and the first question was “How are you feeling?”, to which she responded “Hungry! I really want some fried chicken!”
It seemed like you held your breath all the way through the "a capella" breakdown and almost let out a sigh when the music came in again, that was pretty funny. It's probably the nastiest breakdown in a Babymetal song, at least in my opinion. And I have the same feeling about the auto-tune. Fortunately it's not there when they perform it live. The, so far, only pro-shot performance is somehow still up on TH-cam, if you're interested in the live version of the song. BxMxC means "BABYMETAL Cypher". The lyrics with the heavy distortion in the mini breakdown at the end say "tekina, tekina, tekina, tekina, metal cypher" ("tekina" means "typical"). The "x" are often used like dots or hyphens in Japanese song/movie/show-titles. Sometimes they could also mean "and" or "vs". Stuff like that. To the sign you made at the beginning. Yes, it's "Kitsune" (with a spoken "e" at the end), which simply means "fox" in English. The sign is the fox sign in shadow play (I hope that's the right terminology). The girls mistook the "devil horns" sign you always see in metal when they saw it the first time and thought it was a fox. When you thought you heard "wasabi" in the lyrics, which is something a lot of people seem to hear, she says "want some, want some, want some... beat".
Her english isn't perfect yet so it probably did sound more like wasabi. I'd learn Japanese if their writing system wasn't insane. The language itself doesn't seem too bad.
The male vocals that come in the background are for the crowd. That is what/when the crowd is supposed to chant at the concerts. They do that very much on purpose. The songs on their first album had a ton of that.
now you have to see it live and she can do what it sounds like in the video. live there is no auto tune per say. ok toward the end did you notice they were using a 9 string guitar? last year ESP teamed up with Babymetal to put out a 9 string guitar and i think the price was in the $2500 range. i love this old school rap battle theme video. love the affects. this vidoe fits the audio of this song. Even though that's almost certainly what the title means, they never say "BABY METAL Cypher" in this song, just "Metal Cypher", or "Tekina metaru saifa".
In my opinion, Babymetal took a big risk by making this, because this is the first time they've ever done a full blown rap along with this kind sound style. But really, it wouldn't be Babymetal if they're afraid to take risks and cower away :) . Just like Gimme Chocolate, BxMxC divide listeners. Some of the more 'conventional metal' ones hate it for its heavy use of electronic sounds, autotuning, rapping, and straight song structure (no instrumental solo, no clear chorus, etc). Others (me included), don't mind all that and just took it at feel-value as a straight-fire in-your-face kinda stuff. Regarding the autotuning, there's a lot of heat for that. I know Babymetal breaks barriers, but with this song, they seem to have actually crossed their own line in the sand set by IDZ and Road of Resistance, It seems like instead of fighting the Hiphop establishment, they gave in and made their own take on Rap Metal. @@watcher2554 ah, but what are they fighting against? It was never explicitly stated. Was it Hiphop Establishment? Pop-idol Domination? Metal Gatekeeping? Amuse Coorporation? Japanese Patriarchial Tradition? Their school homework? A random bully? It's an open intepretation, will vary wildly from one to another in my opinion. If anything, Babymetal told us that there's something good in everything, there's always a silver lining. Instead of just blindly and adamantly hating pop, hiphop, rap, metal, or even autotune, it can be blend into something enjoyable (if done right). I was never big on hiphop/rap, but BxMxC got me! ^^

Spoiler alert : her voice alone actually... CAN do that. Well, to an extent obviously, but she does these high notes live and it sounds AWESOME. BABYMETAL fans will generally agree that sometimes the overproduced mix on her vocals on studio albums doesn't do her real voice justice but in this case, once you'll hear how she manages to hit that "autotune vibe" live with no effects on her voice, you'll start to hear the studio album differently. Su is quite the beast.

I agree with you about the auto tune. It's an insult to Su's voice and gives newcomers the impression she can't sing which, as we know, is a million miles from the truth
They say "Metal Cypher" all throughout the song, its even written in English over the top of the combatant selection screen - Su-metal vs. Teki-na etc...so B. Metal Cypher maybe...what do you think the B. stands for? (Note: people will argue with you and want citations and Proof if you dare say it means BabyMetal Cypher...so be careful!! LoL!!) Put your Kitsune UP!! Po!
@@docmetal8194 I guess that could be possible.. So what do you think the B. stands for? Maybe Budokai from the name of the Tenkaichi Budokai over the entrance of the arena in the opening shot? Tournament of Metal Cyphers?

Put your Kitsune UP!! Po!
Great reaction you guys should do sis anger it’s the most brutal song that they’ve done. It’s Yui and Moa’s sub group black Babymetal. You’ll love it. We’re not a cult even though Babymetal death legend 97 looks like it
Mi favorite song, different metal not the boring natural metal
Baby Metal Cypher or the more popular theory is Bring Moa Chicken.
Who in their right mind thinks they can beat SU-METAL OUR METAL GODESS QUEEN &
IDOL LEGEND & MOA-CHAN, The Queen of Nagoya & Fox Princess, in a rap battle, PURE BLASPHEMY!!!!!!!!
She would eat Eminem for breakfast.. 😉
@@ChrisPage68 Just a starter for Moa if you let her. ;-)
Let's not forget she is rapping in two languages.
At first I thought it was Bring Moa Chocolate or Bring More Chocolate. But no it's BabyMetal Cypher.
Your hair looks amazing.
She is saying "Want some Beat"
Babymetal are great but if you really wanna get into some amazing music from Japan try out Wagakki Band (SenbonZakura or Homura are good to start, also see Yoshiwara Lament, Hakusho Kassai, and Sun Wheel)
#notacult We are a club. Baby Metal Cypher = BxMxC
Yeah like cher, as everyone knows su-metal does not need autotune. But they did it for effect.. something different from their norm..
Dunno if its true but a lot of people say its Bring Moa chicken which is one of the singers.
Funny you say that you're a Slipknot fan because Corey is a big fan of Babymetal too and they are cameo'd in one of his new music videos.
BMC = Babymetal Cypher
BMC means BabyMetal Cypher
Baby Metal Cipher or Bring Moa Chicken (moa loves her food :) )
Awesome Reaction!!! Please react to dexcore. red eye. 🎸⚡⚡⚡

BMC - Baby Metal Cypher
All BABYMETAL songs are different.
Nice react dudes, if you like DRANGOFORCE, try react BABYMETAL ROAD OF RESISTANCE, these is contribuition of DRAGONFORCE,
in this song you will see the power of the band KAMI and SU-Metal in the vocal! Sry my band english, my first language is portuguese!
b.m.c means baby metal cypher
I agree with you about the auto tune. It's an insult to Su's voice and gives newcomers the impression she can't sing which, as we know, is a million miles from the truth
They say "Metal Cypher" all throughout the song, its even written in English over the top of the combatant selection screen - Su-metal vs. Teki-na etc...so B. Metal Cypher maybe...what do you think the B. stands for?
(Note: people will argue with you and want citations and Proof if you dare say it means BabyMetal Cypher...so be careful!! LoL!!)
Put your Kitsune UP!! Po!
It may be redundant, but as continuously pointed out, BabyMetal is one (1) word, therefore, wouldn't it mean "BabyMetal Metal Cypher"?
🦊🤘
@@docmetal8194 I guess that could be possible.. So what do you think the B. stands for? Maybe Budokai from the name of the Tenkaichi Budokai over the entrance of the arena in the opening shot? Tournament of Metal Cyphers?
@@watcher2554 Actually...yeah, your suggestion makes a lot of sense to me! That could very well be it. Well done!
🦊🤘
Su can perform BMC live no problem but if you think Pa pa ya heavy??? then you will hear some hard songs.
BabyxMetalxCypher
Haven't you reacted to road of resistance yet? after chocolate and karate it's a must.

I'm a Member of Two cults...The cult of the Jinjer Rabbithole...and as of late...The cult of the Kitsune and Worship of BabyMetal...but it could be much worse...Right?
Pretty sure its Baby Metal Cypher .. BMC
If you want to hear it without the autotune, then here you go... th-cam.com/video/BjNHAZAAQug/w-d-xo.html
By the way, a maggot is a Gwar fan.
A Maggot is a Slipknot fan. It's well-known.
Anything off of tallah’s new album.

Distortion is one of my favourites 🦊🌈🔥🔥🔥
Wasabi 😆
Bring Moa Chicken
Bring Moa Chicken...just kidding.
The 8 or 9 string guitars they were using for this were tuned very low....like 7th circle of Hell low.
Inside info has it that Dante & Virgil tuned those 9-string guitars while touring Hell.
