In the 80s when that boat was built, most bass anglers used the big satchel type boxes and big drawer boxes, that's the reason for the open floor plan. As anglers began using the 3600 and 3700 Stowaway boxes, boats began being built with more lockable storage compartments and built in coolers.
I picked up a 1987 Skeeter Starfire 175 18 ft with EZ loader trailer. Came with 2000 Johnson Fast Strike V6 two stoke 175HP and does 64MPH. I live in Canada and spent $1250CND for the whole deal even has factory tarp.
I have the same boat in back and blue. I do a lot of metal fabrications stuff and I went ham and welded a whole aluminum frame together and made lids that match all the rest of the factory ones 😅 yours would work about the same and took a lot less time ha love it for a small bass boat!
Great question! Came with the boat. I actually fell on it and broke it a few weeks ago. I’ve searched all over and can not find a replacement. It’s a nice unit. If I find it, I will let you know.

Hi, thanks for watching. I purchased everything at Home Depot. Only thing I would recommend differently, is you might want to buy marine grade plywood if you plan to keep the boat for a long time.

All that work and that osb won’t last very long. I always wonder why go so far to make things look nice and half ass the most important part. At least coat the osb in resin.

Where did you get the locks/latches for the lids? My older boat has those and some are broke and I’ve been looking for some new ones
