I am a Pathan from Peshawar 79 years old, lived in USA for over 50 years. I worked in Establishment Section of Chief Conservator of Forests, Peshawar Region. quite a few PIA Plans were lost in early 1965 because of Air pockets in these mountains and we lost few executives in those plans before they established Chitral Division. I always wanted to visit Chitral as I had friends there working for
Forestry. I worked in Forestry from 1962 to 1969. I still dream about it.

Markhor is not a good word. To me this animal looks like DEER! Is Markhor actually a species of DEER. If it is DEER call it DEER not Markhor---- .Markhor is terrible word.

There is one more place in Islamabad called GHQ where you will most of the Haramkhoor,
Markhoor are Haramkhoor
