Actually, I'm ok with the 'M', what does bother me is the cluttered space around the umlaut with the crossbar of the T and the little space within in the curve of the R. Or, I'd higher the crossbar, or I'd integrate it with the umlaut (actually, the second O even feels taller with the umlaut). O yea, and the M is too close to the O. Well, whatever, that's just a quick opinion, I always thought this was an interesting logo. Besides that, the audio 😣 Sorry, I felt like I was listening to an AC 😅 Love your content guys!

I also agree on the “kinky”, let’s keep that private 😏 Still, I always like it when a typical un-typographic something is part of a logo. Your M is correct, but it’s quite “boring”, or too goodie-goodie for its purpose, in my opinion. In other words; the original M is very differential, and I’d consider it fake if I’d see your adaptation on a t-shirt. The cool thing about imperfections in a wordmark -not to be confused with an actual readable font- is that you can keep looking for/at it, which is a most fortunate asset, I believe.
Great vid. I feel the the M and the D need slightly more personality. Maybe a slight serif to lead into the M. I feel that custom lettering works best if you think of if as a sentence or story(abstract I know). Generally the best ones have a solid and open and purposeful conclusion that puts your perception at ease. I love whats going on in the middle and the weight is balanced. That's hard to maintain when you are doing script of more humanist lettering. Nice work overall.
It changed the position of the anchor points. When he dragged them down to make the M, they were perfect tangents. Wouldn't have been the case otherwise

Hey, Chris. I am an Architecture student in Arizona and i just wanted to say that all of your videos are so informative and interesting. I recently got into a pickle with a client from my small landscaping business that i started after i got out of high school. This client is accusing me of not fulfilling the contract and is threatening to put his attorneys against me. I have had this client for 14 months and the last month is when the troubles started. I saw every vid about troublesome clients you have and i wish i would have seen them in highschool. This client looking at our initial meetings had a lot of red flags. This client is in the business of developing properties and has several properties but if i google him it looks like he is in bankruptcy. Also i was confronted by one of his painter subs and it turns out he is like this with a lot of small businesses. He also likes to hire Mexican small landscaping businesses because he can pile up a lot of free labor and at the end threatened them to call and deport the workers. I am not undocumented and he knows that now so what should i do? I just turned 21 a month ago and i am scared. I am scared of this client because he does this for a business. taking businesses to court to get free labor out of his developing properties projects. I am 21 i have no idea what to do! I have looked at the contract and i have not broken anything out of it. I been doing my part every month. He is accusing me with pictures from around 5 to 6 years ago comparing the state of how they were, to now. But i have only been with him for 14 months and the properties when i took over were horrible. I have improved them but they are not at the state of when they were recently built 5 to 6 years ago. I cant rewind a saguaros growth so it looks cute instead of a huge monster. and so on. I have emails of him being threatening, somewhat racist. I also documented every month with before and after pictures of the maintenance done in all of his properties. He owes me 5.5k but he is threatening me to have his attorneys sue me for 9k and for me to pay 10k for his attorneys. Can you help me. This is so weird because...I can see why you wanted to revise that "M" but....I dunno....I like the original better. Not only do I like the original over the revised one, I feel also that the revised "M" , while the negative shapes are technically the same and parallel, optically it looks like the first negative shape is thinner than the second one. I think it is because of the curves at the top of the "M". I feel they should be more curved inward. Kinda difficult to explain through writing. It's like you just cut 2 circles in half and drew 67 degree lines coming from them when you should've rotated the circles as well. That make sense? I dunno, someone help me out here. Does anyone else see it?

But what if the logotype was intended to be that way, with those minimum errors? Sometimes I say, it’s better to make a logo with some little fails to make it different and hard to reproduce. Making it like an optical illusion.
Without optical corrections like overshoot, balancing, slight stroke contrast and so on, a typeface would look absolutely disgusting. Would not call that "little fails" tho.
I kinda agree with you. But in this case, the logotype is legible/understandable which achieves its purpose. My point actually (also my curio) it's about global logos (logomarks, emblems, logotypes) and their impact effect of little mistakes, the 'how their imperfections makes them uniques', by instance: google's isotype, starbucks, etc. I would like to hear team thefutur talk about that topic deeply...
