Fantastic song selection " Madhu "👌 This song was one of the greatest combination of SPB with Raja sir's manual Orchestration during the year of 1979... 🎶 At present your " Ilamai-ennum poongatru" takes us to heaven pleasantly 🎤🎶🎧 Beautiful singing 🎤🎶🎧 Thank you so much for your music treat 🎁🎊🍫 Have a great time ahead 💐 Score 💯
Azhagu ! An immortal composition from Maestro rendered by immortal Balu sir ! Unforgettable 🎉one of the top ten best best from the combo !! Thanks for the nostalgia 🎉🎉
Beautiful rendition! I see no need for improvement. But I am a bit ticked off seeing pronunciation snobs in this post. You can always count on them showing their air of superiority. Instead of enjoying the music they will comment about this or that pronunciation. Who cares?! People are different; they will pronounce words differently based on their background. That’s what makes us human and unique. So get off your high horse and enjoy the absolutely beautiful MUSIC.
Many, many years ago Papanasam Sivan’s disciple tried to teach me Carnatic music and absolutely failed….:-). But I remember an anecdote. He said he too was a big pronunciation snob in his early days. Late one night he was walking along the Mylapore temple tank and could hear Madurai Mani Iyer’s katcheri across from the tank. He came across four or five rickshaw drivers listening and enjoying the music. He stopped and asked them if they understood the song. They said they did not care about the words or the meaning. All they cared was how the music lifted their hearts, and how it magically melted their sorrows.
The end user may not care how a software engineer has designed or coded a particular product, but if the design and code is faulty the product will not survive for long in the market. Was it the failure of PS 's disciple to teach carnatic or is it the failure of the student to grasp will always be a moot point.
I completely agree with you on that . In my early days I used to sing hindi sings , even Arabic songs without knowing the meaning I enjoyed all of those... music precedes the lyric , even Ilayaraja sir has said this in one of his concerts . Having said that there should also be no compromise on language as well... many great singers, legends have made mistakes lyrically ... but they have also corrected it in later performances. What is under the singers control is only that effort to correct the mistakes once known. Beyond that there are always uncontrollable factors like this instance.. which can neither be known nor be controlled. 🙂

Very nice to listen to this vibrant song in your singing with guitar backing !! Sounds sweet and pleasant !! Sometimes even when we pronounce the words right, due to the mix and mastering, words sound different from the way we had actually pronounced. May be, that's what happened in your case, many words sounding lighter than what they should've actually sounded like. It has happened to me too in the past. Otherwise, I liked your singing a lot Sis 👍!!
There are ways. But since I sang it with right pronunciation in the first place it dint sound any other way to me . So I couldn't get a new or fresh perspective on the rendition
I'm a senior citizen and in love with your voice. I wish I were your age for me to imagine us in a courtship duet. 😃 I'm kidding you ! On serious note, your inhaling sound is heard (which is distracting).
The song was beautifully rendered by her. But what hurts is her pronunciation of vizhindu as vilundu. That robs the beauty of the language. I am not an authority on Tamil as my connection with Tamil is to speaking only for we haven't been in Tamilnadu for more than 200 hundred years. From forefathers ' time we are pround of our State AP without any animosity for other states of our beautiful Bharath.
Madhu pronounced மண்ணில் விழுந்து (maNNil vizhunthu) perfectly. Please consult with a good Tamil (Thamizh தமிழ்) scholar about her pronunciation if you need to understand more on this. Because of deteriorating Tamil language education in Tamil Nadu and elsewhere, many of us do not believe that we are limited in our Tamil linguistics knowledge, but then find it not acceptable when others pronounce Tamil perfectly because of our limitations. This song is with perfect pronunciation. ❤ English subtitles do not provide the correct pronunciation - that transliteration could have been better.
@@Sooriyajeevan Thank you Sir. I along with my inmates call a fruit payam and not palam, kiye not kile may be, because of the distance of my home town from Tamilnadu
@@govindarajankn1000 fruit is pronounced as neither payam nor palam: the correct pronunciation is pazham - பழம். Same for kiizhe கீழே, neither kiiye nor kiile. I work hard to find fault in her songs, just to prove no one can be this perfect, but I rarely succeed. 🥲
What sticks out like a sore thumb is the pronunciation of the word இளமை…it sounds like இலமை… the pronunciation of words with ள has been ur soft underbelly historically. To quote a few instances in the past words like விளக்கு, விளையாடவா have proved to be a tough nut to crack for u. If the pronunciation is not perfect this particular line தன்னை மறந்து மண்ணில் விழுந்து இளமை மலரின் மீது தன்னை இழந்த வண்டு is never going to be easy to breeze through. With someone with a strong carnatic background like u, it should not have been too difficult to get the pronunciation correct for the above mentioned words and you should have perfected this by now. Need more azhuththam, spashtam when u encounter illamai, villakku, villayaattu etc. and should never pronounce them with nunni naakku.
