Haha right?? Drawers in the bottom wheeled boxes would be so handy in the shop! With the setup in my trailer stuff tends to pile at the bottom of the stack so I would still use the current wheeled ones
Dude this is been amazing on my setup. I do have this in my Honda Odyssey and is place in the trunk, in the bottom is the regular thick packout box the one with the handles and and top is the drawers which slide perfectly is enough clearance to open all of them. This is been a God send item, I struggle with removing each packout box to access my stuff. I was able to remove the big two wheels packout box and and extra packout with handles and still have all my tools like before but at much ease access. Hope I explain it good enough, I wish I can attach a picture of this here, ho well it is what it is.
@@Rexxthespecialist bro. You read my mind. I have the 18g and 16g finish nailers and am planning to use the 2 drawer to keep them separate with all the nails for each in it’s own drawer. Then I just grab the nailers and add it to the stack. This will also free up tons of space in my tool bench in the garage.
Ya unfortunately there’s no protection from dust or water. Maybe they could change the design and put a hinging sealed panel on front to make it airtight
@@rickyperkins232 I don’t think so.. it definitely doesn’t have the rubber seals like on the tool boxes but would likely keep out some splashes of water.
@@rickyperkins232 definitely no regrets, however I did notice yesterday that when I went to move it from the stack I instinctively wanted to grab it on top but there’s no handle there. No big deal, I had just gotten so used to moving the others that way and muscle memory took over for a second..
Everyone has packout. This one is definitely the best system out there besides Festool. But the Festool is smaller. I can put my super sawzall in the packout. Forget tool cabinets.
Haha I definitely like the pack outs, they’re lightweight and practical.. don’t know too much about the festool line but from what I understand it’s top quality
I regret getting invested in the Ridgid Pro toolbox ecosystem so early. Great boxes by themselves and also amongst the competition ...EXCEPT Ridgid only got as far as 5 or 6 kinds of boxes and just stalled there. Milwaukee just ran with it and it's sensational the creativity, variety and utility of the Packout system! @@chriskelvin248 ya I totally agree on the scalability you can buy them as you need them and mix and match as your set up grows.. mine is ever expanding..

How they didn't lead with the drawers & the dolly/trolley is beyond me. I guess they figured nobody would buy the rolling toolbox unless they lead with it?
Depends what you’re putting into them I guess. The rolling toolbox definitely comes in handy for bulkier items or seldom used plumbing fittings etc. I think the drawers are a recent addition to the line up, and the rolling boxes part of the first pack out system?
the bottom box with wheels oughta be the box with drawers. How did all the tool boxes mess this up?

Nice flannel. Are they lined?
Haha yep, it’s an insulated Eddie Bauer
Where'd you find them suckers for sale at? I live in Buffalo NY and Evey site I check is on back order for weeks now
I got them locally here in western Canada at a tradesman supply shop, was on the list for months. Still waiting on the 2 drawers to arrive. Good luck!
Try Ohio tool still on back order have 400 coming in

Ya you need to lift off whatever is on top of the wheeled units anyhow in order to open that one. Do you have 2 or 3 drawers?
@@FixerMerlin I got both of them and I was not sure about the 2-drawer but man that I was wrong they are like Batman & Robins.

My only complaint is how much dust gets in through the drawers. They aren't sealed

Hey Merlin. How deep are the drawers?
16.5 x12.5 and 31/4 deep
Where’d you get them???

Yes I’ve definitely been thinking about that.. any recommendations?
Drawers belong on the bottom
Generally I agree, however in my tool trailer things often pile on the floor and would block them from opening if they were on the very bottom
