i totally agree! i think his complex character was overshadowed by the lovable second lead, which makes me sad bc jeong was truly real. everyone has their dark sides and their flaws, which is portrayed in this character. through his love for her, he realized that it’s not ok to act the way he does and he learned to change, not just for her but for himself. such a deep and moving character that i will always love and defend ❤️ the couple deserved a better ending 😭

Jeong used his dark side only when other people did very wrong with with him or the people he cared about. And he did that very smartly. Like Sang-Cheong stole Seol’s note. But instead of apologise he tried to justify his stealing and he physically abused her. He got what he deserved from Jeong. I would have been proud of having a boyfriend like him. I actually found other classmates way darker and brainless. To me, he is a great combination of good-bad persona. He never used his “darkness” just to show his power or hurt people unnecessarily. I loved Jeong.
He hide his anger, instead he use his anger to revenge . He is different, he is not weird . Glad he found who similar like him even only last 6 months 😭
When I first watched the show, I hated the ending. Skipped 4 years later, I decided to watch it again. I came to an understanding that the ending was as realistic as it could get. It made me believe that no matter how difficult things might have been for them throughout the years, if they're meant for each other, fate will bring them together. They too, will do everything within their means to make sure it would work out. I don't necessarily think the ending meant separation. Instead, it portrayed a new beginning.

I want Seol and Jeong to hug it out!" but then coz i love sunbae so much i decided to watch the second time and totally get it. I thought a sequel would probably give me closure but if they don't have a good story as the original, then it would spoil the whole thing. Just look at the Cheese in the Trap movie. urghhhhhh
When he left, he said he'll be back when he feels like he's worth to love her. And then after 3 years she sees him on the road, crossing it. Then she sees an email from him. He reached out to her. She still waited for him through the years and didn't date anybody even tho bora tried a lot to set her up with random dudes. They found each other. Time healed everything. This is a happy fudging ending guys stop crying.
I feel most people missed the point of the drama. I think the drama shows us how each one of us has our gray shades. Its not all black and white. People do not fit into brackets of good or bad. All the characters- InHo, InHa, Seol, MinSoo, Sang Cheol and most of all YooJung, all are flawed, scarred people. But through the course of their lives they win some, they lose some, but they do gain perspective and eventually change for the better. I loved Yoo Jung's character the most. I hated to see him wary and lonely. Thank God for Hong Seol who helped him heal.
This first scene, it never gets old. She caught him doing that n he knew that she knew it .i watched the whole drama bcz of this scene from a clip I always find intense eye contact much more intimate than kissing or making love itself.
I miss them in a drama 😭 best chemistry ever! I started being a fan of Park Hae Jin because of this. But even with his new drama now, I cant help but rewatch Cheese in the Trap for the nth time 🥰 Im hoping for a new season to this and PHJ and Kim Go Eun back to lead it. ♥️♥️♥️
This is my favorite drama right now. Like all ive watched kdramas i forgot all of them.😁 Lol. I really love the message of the story. The ending may be sad but if you look at the other side it was all for the best. Finding yourself in order to love a person is on point. Coz how can you love a person if you dont even know yourself well? Ugh!! I think I can write a 50pages reactions/reflections and all from this drama. Lol 😁 hahaha. On point. U need to love and heal urslf first to be able to love someone better. It's true that sometimes u need someone to help u get through, and that's exactly Wat happened in this drama. Bcoz of his love for Seol, he recognized his flaws and wanted to heal, for himself and for her.

I used to be kdrama lover. I watch every new kdramas. But ever since i watched cheese in the trap and reply 1988, unknowingly my standard became high.. i couldnt find any other new kdramas that i think can topped cheese in the trap and reply 1988.. so i gave up and stop watching kdramas... 😥😥

One of the best kdramas I have ever watched. I didn't have a second lead syndrome. Both the main leads have great chemistry❤. Jeong as a character really made me cry. Such a well potrayed character. Kim go eun didn't overact, she's one of the best Korean actresses i know. The side characters were also well portrayed. Such a great drama,tye ending had me feeling somehow tho😅😐

One of my fav korean dramas
One of the best kdramas I have ever watched. I didn't have a second lead syndrome. Both the main leads have great chemistry❤. Jeong as a character really made me cry. Such a well potrayed character. Kim go eun didn't overact, she's one of the best Korean actresses i know. The side characters were also well portrayed. Such a great drama,tye ending had me feeling somehow tho😅😐
