    If someone asks me who is the best youtuber for Aviation... I will say this: Skylite Production. The best with videography, sounds, stillness, it put me to sleep than any video I watch. I play video games while I watch his videos. it calms me, it made me feel like I am there, sitting there at the windows. I havent seen any videos that matches his skills.

    You may want to correct 1:41:08 as that’s not STL, that’s YVR. I’m guessing you were working on multiple videos and mixed up the caption for the chapter.

    Do u think the max 8 and max 9 is a safe plane to fly on why or why not

    • @sla31
      @sla31  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Do I think it's safe to fly on? Yes. Do I think it has some issues that Boeing clearly caused? Yes. But even a flawed modern day airliner carries so little risk that the chances you're involved in an incident are microscopic. And... Let's not pass over the fact that the Max 9 had an entire door blow out and the plane held together and landed safely. The Max/Boeing clearly have issues that need resolved ASAP, but the plane is still safe to fly on. You're in more danger crossing the street to get to the terminal than you are flying on any modern airliner.

      I mean, San Francisco gets no snow, but somehow, people claim Dallas gets tons of snow each year. Climate is weird in North America.
      Australia has the most reasonable climate.

    • @Cl4rendon
      @Cl4rendon 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@SYDAirlineEnthusiast Yep, I got ya, but this is due to the proximity to the Ocean which kills any potential freezing in SFO. Dallas on the other hand is surrounded by landmass which leads to higher temperatures in the summer but also lower in the winter 😉

      This aircraft is a Max 8 and does not have the door in question. That's the larger Max 9, which neither Air Canada or WestJet operate.

    Ok Bryce. Let's see if you are a real Airbus expert. ( 😀 ). Do you see that knob on the wing ? At every Airbus A 320 family jet you have a device with two holes. What could that be and for what ?
    Great flight with Air Canada to the beautiful city of Vancouver.

    • @sla31
      @sla31  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Are you talking about the little yellow thing that sticks up that has the two holes in it? I'm trying to visualize it and I wouldn't really call that a knob, but I don't know what else you'd be talking about that has two holes in it. And I'm even more confused since this video didn't have an A320 in it haha. I mean, the little yellow hooks with holes in them is used during emergency evacuations. Often times, in a true emergency, the wing isn't perfect and dry. Which means it is often slippery, or could even be covered in water and foam from the firefighting apparatus. So, ropes are run through there, which gives passengers something to grab on to so they don't slip, fall, or slide off the wing. I you're talking about something else I'd either need a picture or more details haha.

    • @nikolauswolff5791
      @nikolauswolff5791 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@sla31 I should have known that you know that. I don't know another word for that little thing there on the wing. Device maybe. But yeah. You explained it right. 👍

      @sla31  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@nikolauswolff5791 I meant to put that in my comment too. That I don't really know what to call it either haha. So although knob isn't what I would think to call it, I also don't have anything better haha.

    First and great fly! Have you heard CNN article "New problem found on Boeing 737 Max planes" where it talks about there's new issue with 737 MAX where they drilled the two holes poorly/improperly which doesn't meet the exact Boeing requirement? What do you think?

    • @sla31

    Dropping your phone in your seat poses a fire hazard? That’s a new warning that sounds like complete BS

    • @sla31
      @sla31  ปีที่แล้ว +9

      Well, in most instances it’s not a big deal. However, their is a very good reason why they have to include that now. Many first and business seats have electronic motors that control them, and they can general get quite complicated now. Gone are the days of them just being big recliners 😂. So, what has happenes is people will accidentally drop their phone and it falls down inside the seat. They then try to move the seat to access it, and the seat then crushes the phone, causing the battery to catch on fire, or even explode. Which is obviously very bad when you’re in a pressurized metal tube going 500mph. So it may see odd to include, but it’s included because these scenarios have happened on flights now, and they’re trying to make people think before making it happen again.

      I heard this on my United flight last month as well. I’m guessing it has to do something with lithium ion battery’s being punctured and blowing up.
