Good things can happen in threes. Three heavies, 17:25, 23:15 (747 sounds great in headphones) and 26:10 under tow. Three airports; Sea-Tac, Boeing and (Renton - very upper left) 29:40. And three volcanoes. Rainier, St Helens and Hood 37:00. Your seat choice for this north departure was great. Good one, buddy!
Sometimes I get lucky haha. I always plan for this type of view, but as you know, sometimes the weather just doesn't cooperate. It's nice when it does for a change haha.

I arrived at Ft. Lewis in late December 1995. It was overcast for the next month or so as I remember, and Rainier couldn’t be seen. Well after that time the weather cleared, and I was walking down the street one afternoon, kind of not paying attention to much of anything, when all of a sudden I looked straight ahead and there it was, looked like it was so close that it would fall on top of me! I literally stopped dead in my tracks, and had to rub my eyes, as it felt almost like a hallucination. Twenty nine years later it’s still the most incredible thing of nature that I’ve seen. Driving along I-5 in the early evening, and looking over to my left, Rainier floating on a cloud of white, I’d just pull over and watch for several minutes. Great experience!

I love the 737 MAX series of plane! Great design, are those CFM Leap engines on this one?
Well, last I checked there was only one engine option of the 737 Max, which is the CFM International LEAP-1B. So yes, it is indeed equipped with CFM Leap engines. Thanks for watching my friend!
Be glad you're not here today. It's 14 degrees right now. Over in Havre, Montana, it's 40 below without the wind chill, Be thankful you're not there. Anyhow, great view of Seward Park. That's first growth trees there. Good view of Vashon and Maury Island. Maury Island is where a lot of Seattelites own summer homes. Good views of Rainier.
Today is my GF's Birthday, but we're going to stay home because of the cold weather. I did get her a B-Day gift which she still hasn't opened yet.
Our garage feels almost as cold as a walk-in freezer right now. Anyhow, bundle up and stay warm, In the meantime, I'll see what flights they have to Hawaii where it'll be a HELL of a lot warmer. :)
Oh man, I wish I could say we weren't in the same boat, but we are haha. It is currently 4 degrees here, feels like -13. The low tonight is -4. The high tomorrow is 3 and it's supposed to snow 3 inches 😭. I'm not built for this haha.
@@sla31 I'm looking at the KTUL TV page right now and wow, looks like they're getting clobbered with serious winter weather. Be glad you weren't in Havre, Montana, where they had 41 below without the wind chill.
It got up to 25 here today with some high clouds. Down in PDX, they got pummeled with a big storm and snow and down in Corvallis, they're about to get hit with an icestorm. We're expected to get some snow on Tuesday. Right now, it's 22 and it's supposed to get down to about 17.
I braved the cold at lunch time to go pick up Birthday lunch for my GF, which she enjoyed very much. I had to walk to get it.
It's 0 degrees in Spokane and 15 down in PDX.
Well, hang in there. It's -25 in Williston, ND and -33 in Havre, MT.

Ironic that this was on a 737-MAX-9 considering what's happened since the start of this year.
On a related note, just for my own curiosity, have you ever considered what you would do if a flight you were filming on were to have an emergency or emergency evacuation? Obviously I don't wish for it to happen, but it's something that genuinely peaks my curiosity.
And I still have like 3 or 4 more to post haha.
Commercial aviation is by far the safest way to travel, per passenger-mile. Why is that? It's because the entire industry if very responsibly managed, supervised, regulated, and everyone is pulling together. It's a model industry. We gotta hand it to the pilots, the control tower staff, the CEOs, the investors, the airfield construction workers, the mall shops, the ground crew... Everyone is making this happen, and that saves countless lives, and so we love to fly.
The engines on the 737 max remind me of mini 787 engines
Yeah because it has the chevron nozzles like the 787 and 747-8 Engines,
They share similar technologies so you're not completely wrong
I think a lot of the technology that was put into the 787 engines was used to an extent when CFM developed the new engines for the Max. So, it makes sense they'd give off 787 vibes. Thanks for watching my friend!

The shot you took looking at the rear of the aircraft.....on the left side you could not see any indication where that plugged door was....blended in perfectly with the rest of the window panels.

Hey mate nice one enjoyed the look inside the Seatle terminal call me crazy I love airport terminals so much positive energy ,Max 9 what are your thoughts ,me I would get on one in a heart beat,some positive thoughts are the aircraft handled the incident it landed ,well trained Crew ,Boeing have DEFINATELY got production problems ,but loose bolts is bad workmanship whose checking these things!!!!,there is no excuse for bad workmanship in Aviation .

Well, I certainly don't have any reservations about getting on them. But, it's pretty clear at this point between the Max 8 crashes and now this, that Boeing has a serious communication problem, and quality control problem. But I'd still fly on, and will still fly on them. The chances of being involved in an incident is extremely low, and the fact the Max 9 didn't disintegrate and crash is a testament to the strength of the aircraft. It could have been much worse, as so many explosive decompressions have been in the past. But, the airplane held up and landed safely. So, although it is still a very bad deal for Boeing, it is a testament to the aircraft that it survived the incident.

I'm not really sure what you're asking when you say "what is Alaska Airlines?" They are one of the major airline sin the US, based in Seattle haha. You'll have to be more specific on what you mean to get more because otherwise, I don't know what you're looking for.

It is. This was filmed before they were grounded. When you upload 7 videos per week, you have to film stuff pretty far in advance to make sure you don’t run out of footage. So on top do this one, I actually have like 3 other 737-9 Max flights full to post 😂.

Beautiful occultation of Mount Rainier and Mount Hood, at 35:04 in the setting sun, like a woman's breasts. Rainier is 4,392 m (14,405 feet) and they are 275 km (170 miles) apart as the crow flies. Interesting, even if the airplane is at 30,000 feet, cruising altitude, you can still see Mt. Rainier for about an hour, always above the horizon! Why's that? If the earth were flat, it would be below the line of the horizon. But since our planet is a sphere, Mt. Rainier and other high terrain features, will appear above the horizon because the surface curves down and away.
Sorry, i have to correct myself -- the summit you're seeing first from 35:04 to about 35:30 is Mt. St. Helens; Mt. Hood reels into view off to the left, a more perfect cone, and further off (170 miles). Mt. St. Helens is closer at about fifty miles distant. (Dense sulfur smoke and ash filled the air in Seattle, not too far away, back in 1980. I was pretty nearby when it went off~)

This airplane is dangerous
Well, Boeing sure does have a lot of questions to answer for. There's no doubt about that. But... The fact that the airplane held together and didn't disintegrate into pieces when a massive hole formed in the fuselage is a testament to the overall strength of the aircraft. So, you're more than welcome to have that opinion, but I I think the aircraft is fine. I think it's Boeing's QC and communication that needs to be fixed.
Alaska should have kept its Airbus Fleet because they were better. The 737 MAX is just junk, it is easy to break apart and much harder to fly than the A321neo.
In fact, during the JAL A350 Collision at Haneda Airport, that actually showed how safe the A350 is. The fuelsalage didn’t even split into pieces since Airbus is made or carbon fiber, A 787 would have broke into 2 pieces since it has metal layer between its carbon fiber.
I'm pretty sure the 787 and A350 are built the same way. Are you saying the A350's fuselage is one single piece of carbon fiber?
They are both identical, but the A350 is made with carbon-fibre-reinforced polymers, while the 787 Dreamliner is made with 50% composite, 20% aluminum, 15% titanium, 10% steel.

Bruh, ur literally the most stupid aviation enthusiast ive come across my entire life. The 737 max is the most scrutinised aircraft in the history of aviation and arguably the safest narrowbody, its absolutely not difficult to fly and imo its the best narrowbody out there. The problem is not with the 737 max, its with Boeing's manufacturing flaws and negligence. Do not blame the 737 max.

Well, although the door issue is very serious, this is hardly the only Max 9 flight I have already taken that isn't posted. I flew on them a lot at the end of last year. Even with Boeing QC problems, it's still incredibly unlikely that you'll ever be involved in an incident like that.
