Thank you! All the years I've been shooting no one ever mentioned getting my hand closer to the rear of the hand guard. It was always tighten the sling two notches tighter. Score instantly went up!!!
I miss the days when Ken Roxburgh was doing this at matches. It was part of the ambience. I like this video because you can see the USAMU team milling around in the background. And you also hear mention of the match Director Dick Whiting at the end of the video when he tells Ken he’s out of time and they need to get what will probably be the 4-man team match underway.
Was just looking up Team Remington, and I see the article that Joe Hendricks, Sr. won the U.S. National High-Power Rifle Championship at Camp Perry on July 29. 2014. So learn well what Ken teaches in these videos. He is the real deal. Good shooting Joe.
Wrong!!!! Instructions, I am a 200 yards rapid fire Champion, I am 5' 2" tall. Incorrect to have head high. I am a US Army sniper who is now retired but keep proficient. The lower you are, the better.
This is THE BEST video on Service Rifle shooting that I have seen on TH-cam so far!
It's already helped my sitting position.
Thank you!

one of the best high power clinics I have seen.

Thank you for sharing, Devil Dog! Outstanding information for us non-Marine viewers that want to know the best in proficiency. Will take to the range.
Excellent description on how to shoot properly

3:42 Private Pyle! Do you expect me to believe that you don't know left from right!?
lol
Wow. I just got a lot better at these positions, especially sitting!
3 is the key!
Bravo Zulu!
12 minutes in they say ,”nobody should shoot with a cant.”
Not what David Tubbs talked about in his books though.
Maybe David Tubbs was referring to cant when you are standing? Yet I do remember David Tubbs explaining to cant in his books.
And White Oak's new NM scope has a reticle built for it, hmmm. Also, in 3P smallbore cant is popular and set your sights to it.
You absolutely should not be shooting with a cant. Get your sight over bore.
Gettin old - cramp up sitting cross legged
What’s sad is so little interest in this video. Too many people who think they know how to shoot who actually know nothing.

No, thats wrong. You bring the rifle to you, not your head to the rifle. The most natural stance will be the most consistent.
ok
Anyone 5' 2" is already lower to the ground. LOL
