Reducing service rather than reducing the fat at the top of the company, such a fine example of tax dollars pissed down the drain.
The Canada Post Corporation's top bosses will be dealt with through the Canadian Wealth Tax. Their bonuses will be taken away from them each year as wealth tax to be used to improve our Health Sector and Welfare Sector, Housing Sector, Immigration, and National Security.
@@DavidHalverson dream on can’t tax money in Switzerland and other places like that
Whiner!
U still fat too?
They're a crown corporation though, so they don't actually get any taxpayer money.
This is nonsense stopping mail delivery
Canada post need to cut office workers
At the top.
I think Canada at this point, delivers more junk than actual mail.
It seems that way.
Junk mail and other flyers are a lucrative income for them.
Dat true! 😃🤣
That's accurate.
I completely agree
This country has gone backwards
Import the third world. Become the third world.
Well got news for you. If Canada Post is suffering from financial woes, both Conservatives and Liberals are to blame for that. Can't blame the NDP. They've never formed government federally
Sunny Ways!
Everything this Trudo regime touches turns to 💩
Corporation, operating on the landmass of continental North America 🎯 👆🏽😎
because you manage money bad doesnt mean you get to reduce an essential service , time for your employees to take a pay cut , I suggest starting at the top
Employees are making 21$ doubt it's the employees .. try and make 21$ an hour and pay a rent in Vancouver or Toronto let alone in montreal now it's management and the gouv should pay the bill since we pay taxes
@@user-fd4yr5qt7d That's why he said to START AT THE TOP, with the bloated bureaucrats making six figure salaries that have never delivered so much as a letter in their entire lives, please learn to read
They are unionized, can't remove the union like that
Focus on the top brass they are overpaid
I think they make way more than that...@@user-fd4yr5qt7d
So how much of a raise did the higher ups get, regardless of the company failing?
Recent facts: Management just got big bonuses.
So Where did this money come from if the post office lost
$750 Million this past year?
Don't worry , the budget will balances itself .😂
I have a small business through Etsy and live in a small community, I do rely on Canada Post. I do hope they do not cut back on daily mail delivery.
Best to make plans for modification to your mail delivery and communications protocols. Invest in an electronic scanner to scan documents for e-transmission via computer system, a Virtual Private Network (VPN) for your business to secure all communications going in and out. Rural communities in Canada may be finding themselves dragged kicking and screaming into the 21st century telecommunications.
@@DavidHalversonpeople that rely on Canada post via Etsy aren’t sending documents. They send small items like necklace etc via letter mail as it’s cheaper.
@@DavidHalverson ... all your suggestions sure help! 👍
@@DavidHalverson you completely missed the point...
Corporate is crying poor while giving themselves large bonuses and cutting salaries of delivery agents.
Oh Come On!!! That is crazy, lazy, and utterly ridiculous!
We Canadians are not sacrificing Canada Post Delivery, ( a cornerstone, historical, staple, and essential Federal provision and function and responsibility), because of governmental negligence, corruption, laziness, ineptitude, and absolute mismanagement.
Find the problems. Fix the problems.
Plenty of money for wars.
Unbelievable!!!
Who's stealing all the money?!
Management and it's a service we pay the gouv taxes they should pay the bill not rocket science
Sending it overseas for laundering. If we were to reinvest those billions back into our country we would be living in a completely different world!
Government?
We send it overseas for them to launder!
Who will deliver mails to very remote areas with that price? This company need to be protected for public. Especially seniors like to receive mails not text or emails
My experience with Canada Post: They leave a notice that they attempted to deliver your parcel... except they didn't attempt, they already have the little tag made up that says they "attempted to deliver", so you have to go pick up your parcel.
My other favorite is half the carriers "do not carry a signature capture device" - Once upon a time this was called a Pen. Now apparently they have a special tablet device and not all postal carriers carry, and so once again they leave you a notice saying "Hey, you gotta make your way across town to this non-airconditioned hut and stand in line"... Sorry, not sorry Canada Post. You should be doing better, I have no issues with competitor deliveries - Only Canada Post.
Technology is no guarantee of innovation. Get your act together or get replaced. If you were a private company you'd be out of business.
I literally watched Canada post come to my door with the notice of attempted delivery card, not the package, then walk back to the vehicle. Had to literally run out and say yeah hey, I'm home.
Light was on and everything. And yet they want to do this, with the most expensive shipping costs.
That's the mailman and he/she should be suspended for that
Stop blaming the entire company for a bad apple
Agreed, I have received the same horrible delivery service where they just stick the "you weren't home" slip in the mail box instead of carrying the package from their truck. I watched the whole sequence on video recorded by my smart doorbell. I was home at the time and if they had rung the bell I would have been at the door immediately. This is a trick that the carriers use because it saves them time so they can end their day early and spend their time having a beer on their deck instead of doing their job. What they don't realize is that they are bankrupting their employer. I now refuse to purchase anything that is delivered by Canada Post. The sooner they go belly-up the better.
And whos still collecting a bonus if the company is struggling??
Canada Post is the absolute worst at parcel delivery. Sure they move it across the county or city to city but they rarely deliver to your door/mailbox. It's a roll of the dice whether the postal worker delivers the package or just drops a notice for you to drive somewhere, maybe miles away to pick up the parcel. Plus they ticket it as "attempted delivery" when they clearly did not. Don't blame competition on your loss, all you have to do is look at your workforce.... no sympathy for the corporation or workers that have caused this.
That's horrible I worked for cp for 30 yrs , when it was implemented that we had to take parcels to the door I take every parcel to the door and mail to m/boxes, unexceptable
Postal Workers will be thinned out as there won't be any need to have such a large workforce especially when Canada Post goes to grouped mailboxes for each block of houses.
100% agree. It’s so aggravating. I work from home and this happens all the time. Delivery means to my door!
I have used Canada Post all my life and hardly ever have I had a problem.
I don't see why 3 days a week would be an issue. Mon, Wed, Fri for some and Tues, Thurs, Saturday for others.
Unfortunately the usual for a crown corporation: Overpriced labour, beaurocrats making bank at the top, terrible and unreliable service.
Yet UPS, FedEx, Loomis, all seem to make money.
Canadapost is too fat at the top . too much managers. Each depot has more than 5 and before only 2
Canada Post is losing money because of the home mail delivery mandate. UPS etc. only deliver packages.
OMG what next? This is really awful.
Next is going to be newspapers all on line. No more hard to purchase. Don’t be surprised if all the banks shut down their branches and open small kiosks in major retailers and shopping malls.
I don't mind Canada Post as a parcel delivery option, and will chose it when I can for the primary reason that it has access to my mail room. The number of times that I get someone delivering a package that cannot get into my secure apartment building is frustrating, where Canada Post not only has access to the mail room, but have a parcel mailbox, that they leave the key for the door with your parcel in your mailbox, so no one takes it.
Centralization sorting of mail is driving the cost of mail delivery up. I send a letter to a community 36 miles north of me. It then goes from my community to Vancouver, almost 260 miles to the south, then sent back to the town to the north another 296 miles. That’s ridiculous in my most humble opinion.
Incompetence!?
Big deal. I haven't gotten mail on a Friday for as long as I can remember. The last time something was shipped to my house 'priority' for a bunch of money and most importantly requiring a signature they DIDN'T EVEN TRY TO DELIVER IT. When my package arrived at the local depot, they instantly changed the delivery status and instead of delivering it as sold to earn the huge fees they simply put a card in my mailbox telling me I had to go hunt it down myself at the local London Drugs PO.
Rain, sleet or snow my ass. Primarily quite useless.
Another way to isolate and disadvantage the elderly and disabled, who rely on and enjoy mail
The cost of mailing a parcel is getting ridiculous, that is why I stopped using them.
My neighbour’s mail comes to my house, so I deliver his mail to him (even though his address is clearly on his mail). I mean: if a company cannot deliver the mail to the correct address, I don’t know what C/Post’s purpose is.
Wrong addresses, don’t get started… mail person delivering doesn’t give a rats ass, as the address in which it was delivered to incorrectly! Important letters arrived late more than once!
My mailed pay slip was delivered to some other address and they opened it. Confidential mail should be delivered properly.
I had a rented PO box at a local postal outlet and the operator put my letter into someone else's box. Then they wrote in pencil on the envelope that it wasn't for them and the operator erased the pencil and put the envelope into my box without telling me of the breach. I only noticed because I could still see imprint of the penciled message. The mail was my investment statements with personal financial info.
Daily mail is very important for businesses!!
Loved our mailman back in the day
Gave cold drink on hot days and treats once in a while
Only the government could lose money on this mismanaged business
Charging 28$ for a small parcels isn’t enough huh?
Hell no! I need it for package!
Delivering mail is a basic function of any country. Are we living in a banana Republic or what? This is what we are paying our taxes for! Instead of putting billions for battery plants, how about funding the basics like health, mail, education, roads etc.
How much was the CEO's bonus?
Not sure how much the CEO's bonus is but I know his salary in 2015 was 500,000$ each year.
@@waterbottle4782 now its probably $750,000.....justinflation
I love there Parcel service. I get such wonderful service!! Makes Me Sad😢
Canada post is too expensive to start with. I would love to send some parcels but everytime I see the price... I close the website lol.
I have a pickup truck, often it is cheaper for me to mail something to a person a half hours drive away or farther, instead of taking it there myself.
the cost to mail a standard letter in Canada has more than doubled since 2006.
I check my mail everyday. I order a lot of stuff online. I don't want my mail and packages to slow down.
Canada Post has delivered sub par service for decades. You pay for fast delivery…maybe you get it, probably you won’t. It’s time for Canadians to demand better service from Canada Post, Air Canada, and others. Even if it means suing them for breach of contract.
Lol Canadians just can't get a break, another slap in the face from the feds
My bank RBC wouldn’t let me take out $2000 in cash the other day haha said it had to be a check I was like wtf ! That was in BC
@@EPIC-604 They want to know where you got that money lol
I can mail delivered faster from another province. Almost 5 days for delivery in the same city
Canada Post screwed up my package delivery today. Maybe if they smarten up.
Canada Post have to be up to date with services , as well as service ontario , health care service ! Canada is stuck in 50s !
If we late for payments, I hope Canada Post will pay the dues 😂😂😂😂
Keep daily mail for all Canadians..
I sent a registered letter to USA for guaranteed 4 day delivery. It got there 12 days later and the person was not asked to even sign
That could have been the fault of the American side. A Canada Post worker isn't flying with your package to ensure it gets there
Give money to other countries fighting their war
What are you going on about now ? 😂
@@EPIC-604 He's got legitimate concerns but a bit out of context, I agree lol
If Ukraine falls, we go back to wars of conquest. If you are finding your bills harder to pay, if more areas of the globe get into wars of conquest (say the Middle East with all that oil) and you've got a recipe for high inflation no end. Ukraine is important. You just don't see the dots linking that war with you. If you think I'm full of it. Check out the 1930s when a Great Depression ravaged people's lives and wars of conquest were a daily ocurrance.
The potatoe bugs in my backyard are getting out of control
I'd be okay with once or twice a week, all I get is bills and junk mail anyway.
I get maybe FIVE pieces of mail per month and that is to keep the assorted Corporations above board and not over charging me electronically.
Ive had other courier companies deliver my stuff lots lately
So I won't be getting notices on my door saying that I wasn't home when I was home all day waiting for my package? That sounds just terrible. I really enjoyed waiting at my front door for the postal worker to stop by with the notice so that I could ask for my package instead :(
Cut the top brass! Bonuses should not be happening either! How a wage cut for everyone there?
I mean they gonna do 3 times a week, next year we gonna do once a week, so what are they gonna do to stop the bleeding if all else fails.
Delivering packages makes more money💰 💸
Stop sending money to Ukraine and then you will have a mail service. Take care of your own country. Speaking as an immigrant even 3rd world countries have a mail service. Shame on the government of canada.
what Canada Post needs ia a cost-effective way to ship online orders with trackign so we as Canadians can compete with Amazon and American resellers.
Canada Post needs to copy Amazon's and FedEx's distribution network to make sure they can track each parcel from insertion to delivery.
Nothing like being forced online and Ai.
Nothing to do with AI
Fk o I get all my bills and bank stuff won't go on line stuff it
Ya ... not everybody goes online that's for sure...
Who needs Canada post when you can get all your bills online and pay at the last moment online too . No need to line up at the bank to pat those bills .
Canada post needs to cut from the top Salaries and bonuses are out of control ! Also way too many management positions !
My son doesn't use the mail because he has to cross three busy streets to get to his mail box.
93% of what arrives in my mailbox are unwanted flyers. Very few pieces of real correspondence.
I minimize my mail simply because it goes missing or I get other people's mail. Postal workers in my area just do not care about quality. Christmas is pretty much the only time for letters and cards.
Check every day
Greetings from oakville where we the town utilized the community mailbox 14 years ago and we check it three days a week and my folks are seniors so any changes will be very disappointing
You can't compete if your competitors don't have to deliver regular mail.
Canada Post spends 34 Billion on management. Management got their bonuses including danger pay.
With 784 million dollar loss how much was caused by bonuses?
Also Canada Post always cries poor during negotiations.
Last time they lied and said we couldn’t deliver Christmas gifts on time, yet the bonuses for them didn’t stop.
you get more junk mail then real mail as carriers are paid to deliver the junk mail so extra cash
Time to compete with fedex etc etc
Maybe raise the fees for junk mail?
They might as well. All I get is junk mail and flyers. Who still gets bills by mail?
My mail-lady arrives in a Canada Post van to deliver mail on our street. Back in the day they used to ride four in a taxi and pick up the mail to be delivered from central neighbourhood boxes. Why do they now need a fleet of vans to deliver the mail?
I'm Really Not Loolikg Forward to the Day If or When All Snail or Paper Mail are No Longer a Thing as my Parents and Others Like Them Rely on Paper Mail for Various Reasons..
We all need are mail .
Mail is so important in rural areas. Cut down on city service to twice a week and no one will bat an eye.
I believe that mail delivery has already been reduced in our neighborhood. We normally can only expect mail on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday in our community mailbox.
All junk and spam mail....
Thats what pays their bills.
Deepak chopra, ceo, makes $422,000 to $497,000 with the possibility of up to 33 per cent of his salary in bonuses should never get a bonus. I can easily run a crown corporation into the ground for less than half that salary.
I work at Canada post as an on call worker. Haven’t gotten a shift in almost 3 months now.
And now they want to cut hours of everyone just for their corporate greed.
The digital age does have a role in this, but even with checks and bills going paperless, there’s still a lot of work which gets done each day by postal workers.
I don't even get daily mail anymore, Canada post only delivers 3 times a week
Oh Canada!
That will be a disaster for their package delivery service. Who would ship via Canada Post when they only deliver occasionally?
What's Amazon going to do? They're always promising delivery "tomorrow."
Canada post services for both mail and parcel delivery is very reliable. Yes, they give you a card to pickup up your parcel when you are not home or if there is no safe place to drop off at your door.
I have had a Amazon delivery guy ask me for $10 as a tip to place a parcel in my front porch which is a enclosed safe area.😮
Having more community mailboxes would save a lot of money and free up postal staff to deal with more volume.
Oh No!
How do you email mail ?
I am quite certain Pitch forks and Torches are still legal
It is not necessary to recieve mail every day. In the country we picked up mail once a week.
So many complaints here! I get excellent service from CP here at my rural, dead-end gravel road location here in NS.
i check my mail everyday
I don't know if it's true but I heard Canada Post declined helping Amazon.
Big mistake.
No more mail needed, cut down to twice a week at most, just for bills… Canada Post should have focused more online delivery, but we see Amazon/UPS trucks instead….
How do you deliver Express Parcel and Express letter?
You need to get on the ball
I love my mail delivery. 😢
Parcel delivery down...what other company delivers parcels that CP MAY HAVE TIES TO ? INTERESTING
Fire all the top earners and use the money for services.
So I live in Canada and I would like my mail brought to my mailbox when it should be
COVID Rammed down my throat ( sorry ) I learned to get mail ONCE A WEEK
I don’t know what they’re talking about? Here in my home We get once a week and that is being few years already.🧐
The cost to mail a letter is to high, Canada Post owns Purolator and maybe they could get more contracts to deliver all those parcels. I only get real mail once a week at most.
