Riding retro bikes is a passion of mine and often the only alternate for some people who can't afford a new bike and the reason I like riding retro bikes is repurposing something that never really stopped performing and there's something really cool about building up an old bike to make it your own and you don't see anyone else out there riding the same bike, if you do they have little personal parts that compliment the rider.

I thought you were joking about the watercolours in your video about front loading bias. I was pleasantly surprised to see that you were not kidding at all!
From what I have heard, it's bulky, heavy and not actually that great for bike camping/packing. Also, you can't leave the tent up and go adventure, you have to tear it down :/
Must have watched this video four times. We have nothing like these here in England it's all lycra, electric shift and expensive frames and clipless pedals. Question the lady named Ali is she the one that hit by the woman on horse? (time trail).
Fantastic video Russ! These are my type of people. I too bikepack in flips/Chacos, no helmet and no lycra :-) I wish more cyclists kept it casual like this. It's tons more fun this way!
