- This video shows 20 zombie animals in Resident Evil games. I went through the whole 11 games and recorded every scene before I assembled all of them in this original edited video. I hope you will enjoy this video!

Since I'm a huge RE fan, I'll break down these animals for those who don't know or care.
Comillos: Spanish for 'Fangs', due too the Las Plagas giving them far more then they deserve, are wolves infected with said parasite. If given enough time, the Plagas will sprout from their backs so its best to deal with them on sight and before they spot you. They are fast and deadly, leaping right for the throat as any canine would.
Centurion: Its namesake given to its tough carapace, is a obviously a centipede that accidentally consumed T-Virus materials. This one was completely by accident on Umbrella's part but it seems they found a use for it either way. Its clever design of hiding its exposed belly with Rebecca forces you to attack its armored hide.
Titan: A simple Elephant who was infected with the T-Virus. Tho its namesake is Titan, it is not like the Titan series we know and was only named that due to its sheer size and after the Greek namesake.
Drain Deimos: A mix between the word Drain and the Greek God Deimos who was the personification of horror, is a mishmash of blood sucking insects, mainly the Mosquito. Its name sake is fitting as it feeds via sucking the blood and/or all fluids from a human body. A disgusting creature that takes roots from the Chimera.
Yawn: A famous B.O.W for being the first massive creature you ever fight. Yawn's name comes from how it looks like its yawning when opening its massive jaw to bite down on prey. Yawn was first a Adder or Pit Viper before being tested on by Spencer.
Popokarimu: Meaning 'Caring Bat' in Swahili, this massive B.O.W is a mix between a bat and an insect due to gene splicing. The bottom half most likely being a Silkworm. From its nose shape and the size of its ears, the bat experimented on was a Big Eared Bat or Vesper Bat. Unlike its species, it does not rely on sonar and seems to have very good eyesight as it can see and track with sight alone, even in daylight.
Black Tiger: Due to its coloration and violet nature, the Black Tiger is a Mexican redknee Tarantula infected with the T-Virus. Unlike its family of Web Spinners who cant actually shoot webs, Black Tiger can. But like Web Spinners, it can inflict a hefty amount of poison. Black Tiger appears to be female as smaller spiders come out of it when its killed.
Giant Leech: Just that. A Giant Leech infected with the T-Virus. Tho it differs as the original leeches Marcus experimented on were infected with the Progenitor Virus which intern, infecting the Leeches, made the T-Virus.
Stinger: Most uncreative name for a B.O.W next to Giant Leech, Stinger is a Emperor Scorpion infected with the T-Virus. With the Emperor Scorpion being the biggest species of scorpions in the world, the T-Virus tripled its size. Tho not shown, if the train you fought it on had UV light, the usual black would glow green or blue most defiently. Tho since it is the first boss, Poison won't be an issue tho the Emperor Scorpions do have venom but are not lethal to humans. Stinger here would mostly likely be.
Giant Moth: Umbrella didn't really have a lot of names for these ones. Its hard to say what kind of Moth this one was made from but the research into making them into B.O.W's was canceled due to how impracticable they where. Even tho the wings were big, they weren't strong enough to get their bigger bodies off the ground more then a foot. Tho with the additon to the T-Virus, they now had the ability to shoot poison. Unlike every other B.O.W., Giant Moth's are neutral unless provoked. They are also flimsy.
Cerberus: A B.O.W that strikes fear into everyone. Named after the vicious three-headed giant that guards the gates to the Underworld. Just a simple dog turned into a vicious killing machine. Doberman's infected with the T-Virus are quick and agile, ready to tear your throat out. Tho only the ones in Resident Evil 2 are Doberman's. Any Dog infected with the T-Virus is classified as a Cerberus. Despite being infected and near braindead, they are still pack hunters. One will go for your neck, and while distracted, another will go for your legs. They can still even follow orders due to a dog's sociable nature.
Giant/Infected Bat: A brown bat infected with the T-Virus which, from reports, seems to be a very rare mutation from the T-Virus. Its sonar ability was enhanced as it can now deafen prey with a loud screech and swoop in for a kill. Other then that, its just a giant bat. Someone fire the Umbrella B.O.W name guy.
Grave Digger: Due to Umbrella's waste facility being too full, they took to just...dumping the excess T-Virus into the ground. This caused a irregular mutation from a regular earthworm to a massive worm. Sliding Worms are the larva state and will grow into more Grave Diggers if not for Raccoon City's destruction. Its namesake is simple for its digging nature and able to kill prey easily, most likely dragging them into the ground and eating them there.
Malacoda: Are Capsalidae, a parasite within many marine organisms, infected with the T-Abyss Virus. These parasites live their entire lives inside their host, this host being a poor whale which is the massive thing coming out of the ocean. Its namesake is a character from Dante's Inferno who was the leader of the Malebranche: the twelve demons who guard Bolgia Five of Malebolge, the eighth circle of Hell. The kind of whale infected is unknown as it is too mutated to be sure.
Eliminator: Im a bit unlcear bit this seems to be a Snow Monkey infected with the T-Virus. Unlike humans injected with it, Eliminators did not suffer mental degeneration and could follow basic commands while giving them boosted muscle mass, hence why their' muscles are busted throught their skin. But their production was put on hold as not every monkey would still retain their intelligence.
Reaper: Its name comes from its violent nature and tendency to rip apart anything it comes across, next to its instant death move. Reaper's were made by accident when simple Cockroach's were infected with Uroboros. Uncontrollable, they will kill anything they come across and inherit their cockroach ways with a tough shell, which is immune to explosions. They can only be damaged from the front. Reapers were not apart of any project, they just happened when the virus leaked in the missile bay.
Stalker: A Lion infected with the T-Virus and named after their hunting style which is to stalk their prey and leap out when the opportunity is provided. Lion's are already vicious but with increased aggression and no fear, they will attack unabated and without mercy. They still retain their pack hunting instincts, Stalker being the Alpha Male as the other three are lionesses.
Neptune: Umbrella knew what they were doing with using a Great White as a test subject. With the shark's namesake having a reputation of being the 'King of the Seas' it was named after the Roman god of the Sea, Neptune. Neptune didnt really 'swim' well with the higher ups as it didnt do much aside from having increased aggression and being able to survive in shallow water. It still acted like a regular shark, even attacking like one.
Alligator: This one doesn't have a codename or anything. Infected with the T-Virus turned a very deadly killing machine into a bigger one. One bite and its over. No deathroll required.
Del Lago: 'From the lake' in Spanish is a massive Salamander infected with possibly more the one Las Plagas given its sheer size. Feeding on corpses from the villagers, it resided in the lake to serve as a guard or possibly no other way to contain it due to its size as it will attack anything as seen as the villagers quickly left after feeding it in fear. Despite its size, its very fast and could easily swallow the boat you were on if it wished.
Great descriptions, very comprehensive and enjoyable to read. I think Popokarimu does try to use echolocation, as you can hear a sort of beeping when you fight it, although it may be vestigial in nature, and has good enough eyesight. However, from what i understand, only the dogs from RE0 and RE1 were Cerberus, since they were created through testing on dogs, and the dogs from Raccoon City were zombie dogs since they were created by accident.
My best guess for what Malacoda used to be is a sperm whale. They are the largest toothed whale, and Malacoda has loads of similar teeth and is of similar color.

The elephant's real name is Oscar, and he used to be the star attraction of the Raccoon City Zoo. But even as the zombie elephant Titan, he still recalls one thing from his former life:
In the scenario Wild Things you can find tapes that play parade music meant for elephants. In the final showdown, there are two cassette players which you can insert the tapes. When Titan hears the music, he will charge at the player and damage himself when it explodes from the impact.

RE1 remake is a perfect example of a good remake, don't remove but rather improve on the already existing content, add to it even, the whole Lisa Trevor was an addition and it was perfect. RE2 remake also removed content, but they improved on a lot. So it evens out on that front, still disappointing though.

@@hidan407 The most notable is the B scenario and zapping system. The marshling yards and sewers are mixed together rather than be their own thing individually.
The secret lab doesn't follow up on from the og design, which mind you while the OG didn't make much sense, this new one is worse. The boss fights are completely the same as well as most puzzle.

The best thing to use on the "wolf-like" dogs in RE4 is a flame grenade. Stops them dead in their tracks!

The mutant bat looks like a straight up demon from hell. I love it, one of the coolest monster designs in Resident Evil.
For anyone who's curious as to the actual designation of the zombie dogs from Resident Evil 1 and 2, it is Cerberus. Dogs that are infected with the T-Virus. They are extremely fast and aggressive, and often go for their victim's neck when they attack.
As someone who has a deep fear of snakes, Yawn terrified me.
Same for me with Centurion. Fuck centipedes
The Varcolac from Village was pretty freaking cool. They did the mixture of human and wolf traits so well.

The hornbills and hyenas aren't infected. Just escaped.
I think there was also an introduction cutscene with the Plaga Wolfs when you backtrack after the Del Lago Boss fight (after Leon collapsed).
There wasn't for the dogs, just for the whip head ganados and el gigante. You might be thinking of that dog that helps you during gigante

Actually, thats incorrect. Only the dogs from RE0 and RE1 are Cerberus. In RE2 and on they are zombie dogs. The only major difference is how they were made, Cerberus was intentional, zombie dogs were accidental.

Some of these animals are mutated, not undead. It's hard to see a giant centipede or spider as "undead", after all.

@@simonwoods2169 not really bad, its pretty enjoyable.. All the complaint was from OG/boomer player. The remake are still good especially the graphics. I do disappointed because they cut some content from original like mercenaries mode & story & so on.
The giant moth also makes an appearance in outbreak, below freezing point.

I would have loved if re3 would have added in a zoo section where all the enemies were infected animals. And you would have had to do puzzles and unlock different locked sections. Find notes of what happened at the zoo in the final moments. That would have been great

One thing I never understood: human becomes a zombie, they become slow, plodding, and stupid. Animal becomes a zombie, they are either bigger, faster, or stronger. Even the monkeys improve.
Remember the goal of viruses are to make/evolve stronger organisms to use as Bioweapons.
Insects have more adaptible DNA so they bond perfectly with viruses. Thats why most of them become giant/stronger versions of themselves. And cockroaches bonded easily with Uroboros when they couldn't find any human subject compatible.
The same thing happens with humans. They become Tyrants when the DNA match the virus. But the rate of humans compatible with the vírus is much lower so like 99% of the population cam only turn into a regular zombie when infected.
Thing with regular zombies is. The DNA haven't matched the virus AND in comparision with other mammals the human brain is much more complex. Decomposition and lack of oxygen during the incubation period of the virus probably makes much more damage to humans than it does to irrational mammals. Still. The advanced ε strain of the T Virus can still mutate further making zombies Crimson Heads and Lickers later on.

the enemies in resident evil 4 and 5 are not zombies because they were not revived by a virus, but they are hosts of a parasite( colmillos, ganados, del lago, majinis,etc)

That dog at the beginning with the tentacles gives me The Thing vibes. They probably took inspiration from that, it looks super cool.
The thing right after the elephant was surprisingly gentle with Jill when it first grabbed her. It had her neck and even shoved something down her throat and she was just....ok afterwards? You'd think it would've just killed her right then
The lack of music with the spider encounter actually makes it more unsettling! Disappointed it wasn't in the remake for 2.

They forgot to mention the mutated crows from Resident Evil 1and2. They also left out the zombie dogs and hyenas from Resident Evil 5.

5:41 I know this isn't really relevant, but ever since I watched a couple videos on the topic, I can't look at large video game creatures with wings and not think "This thing would never be able to actually fly", mainly because of how disproportionately small their wings are most of the time.

Lowkey does anyone else get kinda... idk sad ig to see some of the animal's deaths? Like the elephant or the lion? The way you just slowly watched them become vulnerable, with the life slowly draining out of them. I mean, it wasn't even their fault, they're just victims of the umbrella corporation.
I mean it’s a game, literally towns to half of the world gets taken by the viruses that umbrella makes and millions become victims because of umbrella. Understandable for how sad the main plot is for how many are tortured, mutated, and are killed but focusing on one group like the animals in outbreak doesn’t compare to maybe the shit like the embryos being injected with reptile dna
