This is cool! I've seen a few theories that Yuri and libitina are the same person, but I never really saw that, I more saw them as mother and daughter. Libitina left Yuri to go on a "business trip" (and buy business trip, I mean her experimentation.) Libitina dies without Yuri knowing about it. Until she realizes about it years later. Yuri always had nightmares about her mother dying in her youth. And still has them today. The theory that Libitina is the "alter ego" of Yuri was really her trying to protect her daughter. (Sorry of this was long, the cover was really good.)
imo, it makes sense however in the portrait of markov a girl moves in with her long-lost younger sister. since it's speculated the book is actually the real story, that would mean Yuri is either the younger sister, or moved in with one. and based off of Libitina i say yuri is the long lost younger sister.
