    Is it crazy of me to wish that all roads were two lane, no asphalt, class 6 roads, or at most lightly maintained? Taxes would be lower. Traffic fatalities would be lower. All roads would be dirtbike and mountain bike and pedestrian friendly. Man. That would be sweet. It's actually very close to that in much of Africa.

    Great vid.. maybe put the cam up inside, near the mirror and do some narration now and then ? Love the vid it's kinda quiet tho'. Radio squawk is also fun to hear sometimes if you use them.

      Thank you!! Really appreciate it. You should definitely get into it! If it’s any consolation, I’d say you could do 90% of VT class 4’s (or similar) on just a mild lift and some aggressive 33’s, no need for a massive build if you just want to have fun with your taco!

    • @S0nnenberg

      I don’t see why not. There’s plenty of local VT terrain that people take nearly stock setups over. If you have some decent tires I’d say you’ll be fine to tackle some trails!

    Awesome man! Would you mind sharing where exactly you can access these from? I looked at Gilead Brook Road on the map but couldn't quite tell where that first dirt section you posted starts.

      I actually don’t have the map for this Class 4 unfortunately, was just following my buddies. Sorry! I’ll let you know if j head back there this season. Glad you enjoyed the video.

      @@S0nnenberg nice 👍 also glad to see that mud was manageable that way, sometimes Vermont mud becomes the deepest sludge ever seen.

    Great videos, Seth. I'm new to off roading and wondering where you get the Vermont Class 4 trail maps. I've tried the Vermont Transportation website and searched for Class 4 and Ancient Road maps, but can only find documents about towns adding these roads to their maps. Also, from a beginner's perspective I think it would be great if you could comment during your trips about tough technical spots and considerations you need to make in picking your line, etc. Thanks!

    • @S0nnenberg
      @S0nnenberg  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you! Almost all the information is available on the VTrans website under the town highway map lookup. Just pay attention to each map key to identify legal unmaintained routes (potential class 4’s). Thanks for the suggestion, I’m going to attempt to more frequently film inside and outside simultaneously to give some commentary when necessary!

    Great video man, I’m itching to get out for a couple of days of this. I could have told you about cram hill, back in 2019 it was was fixed when I ran it. Did a dog attack your vehicle at the house at the end of the road? Also Ironically it worked out that is was fixed because not long after finishing that road one of my gas tank straps let go on a paved road. I knew they were rusty but didn’t think they were that bad. Anyways if it broke on the red section that wouldn’t have been a good time lol. Me and my buddy ratchet strapped it up on the side of the road and I had spares ready with me so we swapped them both out at camp.

    • @S0nnenberg
      @S0nnenberg  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Again man, let me know if you're ever able to make it up! I think I remember you busting your tank straps at VOR2019! I'm super glad it wasn't worse. Can't believe that feels so long ago now. The crew here said Cram Hill used to have some huge V-notch that swallowed a few of their trucks back in the day...would've liked to have seen it, but there's still other hard stuff out there =]

      There was a guy following me in a 2nd gen Tacoma with open/open on 33 ATs who made it with minimal struggle, although he’s a very good driver. I’d say if you know what you’re doing you’d be fine, although it may be good to bring a buddy.
