    Big thanks for all your reviews! This video and many others from your channel have been such good basis of information while I’ve been discovering what iSUP to buy.

    As a heavier paddler 120kg I absolutely love my STX 12.6 tourer. Great value and performance but even better with a carbon paddle.

    I think I prefer the colour way of the pure boards over the standard anyway, so that in a 6” would be nice as well as catering for someone like my wife, who’s 6ft and over 90 kilos!

      Yeah that is very true. Thanks Reuben

    Awesome review as usual;) can you guys do an isup pump review? Seems there is not many "Quality" options. Would be really helpful to get some quality reviews on all the contenders. Need something that goes to 17-20. I have gone through two pumps so far

      Hey Matthew, Yeah getting pumps that go past 15psi is hard. The STX ones goes to 16 and it works well. A mega pump test would be good. Thanks Reuben

    Hello, thanks for your nice review.. I have an stx 12'6“ 30" 6“ race and feel the board a little tippy and little unstable, but not hard to paddle at all, very fast board indeed. Do you think the pure 14' 29" 5 inch board will be more stable and a better choice for me? (76 kg, height 187cm) Thanks!

      Very good question. To be honest you are right on the weight limit where I would recommend paddlers to go for five or 6 inch thick boards. At your weight it would be very hard to tell if the 5 inch thick board will offer you any more stability. Yes you will be lower on the water but the board is slightly narrower. I think the only reason I would suggest you choosing the 14' board is if you want to paddle a little faster and further because it is longer overall. Not sure that making the switch will be a big benefit regarding stability. . Sorry that probably doesn't help? Thanks Reuben

      Thanks for your comment. this of course is not good to hear. This sounds different from the boards we used back in 2021. I do know that a lot of the factories and brands had problems with boards post covid. But having faulty boards is one thing. But it sounds like STX drop the ball with their customer service too. Sorry to hear this, but also thanks for writing this in a comment. Reuben

    Hi thank you for the video. Can you please help me choose the right board I’m 76 kg and 73 years old and I want a stable board. You might think that I’m to old but I love the sea I used to do a lot of windsurfing. The board that I have at the moment is a F2 Lighting that came from Lidi’s and I find it not very stable now I would like to buy a STX board. Any suggestions would be very much appreciated. Regards Graham.

      Thanks for asking the question, happy to help. If you're looking to just get on the water for some fun and cruise around, our top pick would be the iSUP Cruiser 10'4 x 32" x 5". However if you plan on carrying some gear for touring, consider the Pure Tourer 11'6 x 32" x 5". Hope this helps. Happy paddling! Beau

    Can you explain why the 5 inch board is more suitable than the 6 inch for someone who weighs 65kg, other than 'feeling closer to the water? Are there any other benefits?

    I'm trying to find a UK stockist for a pure freeride and a twin chamber freeride. Any ideas?
    Would these be the best boards for about £550 for petit wife and "muscular 🙄" me?

    • @SUPboardermag
      @SUPboardermag  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah the boards would be perfect Neil. I do know its going to be tough to get hold of any SUPs over the next few months. Any UK stockist should be able to offer you a back order list, or may have one if you phone around. Sorry I don't know who has stock at the moment. ☹️
      Thanks Reuben

    What size iSUP would you recommend for a really tall person? I'm 6foot8 230lbs and have been using a 10foot 30 inch wide board, not the most stable but it's been workable

    • @SUPboardermag
      @SUPboardermag  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Nikolas. Yes if you're really tall you might need the same width board as somebody who is heavier. If you're using a 30 inch wide board now, I think you're doing really well. But increasing to a 32 " would definitely make paddling much easier. Also going for a bit more length will help you travel a bit faster too. If you want to have a super stable board than the 34 wide would give you loads of stability. The 11' 6 x 32 I think would be a good option. I hope that helps a bit? thanks Reuben

    Hi all
    Loving all your reviews, sup board challenges and you tube channel. 😃
    I have a dilemma, I was wondering if you can help with my next purchase... Qs..which board would you consider best to double up as a learner SUP surf board and leisure board between the
    Aztron Neo Nova 9ft or STX Freeride 9ft 8” for my 10 year old daughter (45kg)
    Myself (80kg) and my son (75kg)
    We currently have the Aqua tone 12’6’ x 32” and Aqua spirit barracuda 10’6” x 31” which myself and family use together in the sea, small surf, lakes and rivers .
    I’d like another board specifically for my daughter but can double up as a learner SUP surf board with an eye on longevity.
    I like both boards, my concern is my daughter may outgrow the 9ft but I’m also thinking that’s ok as it will be good as a surf sup, hence me thinking about the 9’8”
    Which may be a better all rounder than a surf sup
    RE cap : between the 2 boards which would you think make a better Surf sup ??
    Any advice would be welcome as you have reviewed both these boards wishing I think are great
    Keep up the good work
    Thanks Phill
