Here's why it's hard to sympathize with Scheana, despite her tears. She didn't seem like a sweet, innocent girl who simply got her heart broken. At least based on the footage from the show, she was delusional about her relationship and dismissive of friends' advice. Instead of being quietly happy in a relationship, she was braggadocios and seemed to relish the status she thought he brought over the quality of their relationship proper. And she used her perception of this "upgrade" as a bludgeon against her ex-husband Shay. It's hard to root for someone to stay in a relationship like that.
Schena is so much more tolerable when she's being genuine. If you were more genuine people wouldn't point out your flaws. Nothing in life is perfect, and when you pretend it is people tend to get annoyed with the disconnect from reality. It's what you do with that imperfection that makes you desirable to the masses.
