Dowland: Fantasia No. 7 played by Andrey Lebedev

I was at home in Australia over Christmas, and used the opportunity to snap a few videos at my sister's place in the Adelaide Hills. This is John Dowland's Fantasia No. 7.

Sure-footed and nimble, beautifully paced with exquisite colouration - an immaculate performance. How Dowland, the master of misery in music, would have been cheered to hear such a rendition of his composition so many centuries on, with the fragrant Adelaide breeze gently sighing in the eucalyptus background.
