You cannot have too many RC cars. It is impossible. 😁 I love my FTX Apache. It is an amazing car for the money. One thing though: It does seem to overheat if you run it in longer grass - even on 2S! I've fitted mine with a heatsink/fan combo on the motor. My local council are very lax when it comes to cutting the grass and even raking it up after so mine has had a chassis full of grass on a few occasions. Nevertheless is a fun car and I'd recommend it to anyone as maybe their 2nd RC car - after a Tracer Brushless or a Vantage which are also a lot of fun. Been thinking about getting a DR8. Too many RC cars? Not possible! 🤣🤣
You guys be doing rc car racing hero work. Even unrecognized the racing side needs guys like yous. Inside my 1st year of racing with rc cars, i went to manilla for Phillipine masters. Managed to hang out with JQ from mayako eating dinner with scotty from live rc! And watching ongaro all from popping along
Thankyou very much men. I have to agree a budget sct class at a club would be excellent fun and great for beginers. stock car Just open Tyres and probably radio would be ideal.
I just bought mt10's for the kids and a dr8 for me. I may go for an apache or 3 next it all depends if I can hook the kids. If it's just me I'll probably get an asuga
Another great video.. we tried the budget class at our club with the Arrma Sentons but it just didn’t takeoff unfortunately, which was a real shame.. we just can’t seem to get many new faces to turn up!!
I have a few RC Cars and one is the Brushless zorro which I love to bit's, I wanted a short course truck for age's but the traxxas are so expensive more than double the price.
I'm a huge ftx fan there bringing rc to everyone the budgets are available generally for everyone, I have the tracker, 3 outback minis 3 and planning to get the apache along with the forza
So couple of random questions … do you guys ever add portable jumps to your track? What’s the plan for when the grass gets worn out like you see in some corners? Replant off season or leave it dirt? I’ve not personally seen a grass track and it intrigues me. Is there a better tire to use or are they all grippy with the grass? Thanks for the videos!
See if Rochester RC will send you a Senton to review, it's an absolute beast, while it's faster than the Zorro by quite a bit the Zorro's handling is a bit better, I've gone crazy and installed a 6S esc in mine, the thing is insane
These seem like great value for a beginner class. This is probably snobbish of me but I get hung up on the phillips fasteners. Unless these are actually JIS like the Tamiya cars? They otherwise look like they do really well on the stock unsensored electronics. Pretty smooth off the line and its suspension soaked up that rough track pretty well. The track surface seemed like quite an equalizer
As much as I love an SCT every turn they roll over , it could be my driving , I was pretty good when I was aged 17 I used to club race I just want Speed now . 😂
A lcg chassis would help,as well as sway bars can be fitted to 2wd as well, mine has a 4000 kv hobbywing with 120 Amp esc ,teckno driveshafts, the extra $ to build your own is worth it,but pricey
I have both, Zorro fully upgraded and the apache running stock, the difference is huge because at this point I'm pushing 80mph with the zorro, but the realism is much better on the Zorro, on the apache it has its place but it takes a few upgrades to make it stop rolling.
Hi guys, with the FTX Zorro especially don't forget to check the diffs for oil or grease as mine had no oil in it out of the box.😢😮😅

All cars even the dr8 will over heat in long grass

Cheers Shaun

Wish i could get the Appache love the colors but almost 300 bucks way above mt price range love the layout looks very easy to work on.
Great value for money
Not much available at a better price

I'd love to know more about your Zorro. What wheels are those? Have you done anything else to it other than the alu chassis plate?
This is all I did

I think the Team Associated SC10 pro 4 is great buy aswell. Better handling than the Senton and faster than the zorro.
6s is crazy
Pro 4 sounds good

It was great fun bounding across the grass

What have done to your Zorro to be getting speeds like that?
What do you suggest to stop the rolling?
