I would constantly be putting things in one of those hidden bits 'for safekeeping' and then never be able to find them again 😂. Unbelievable craftsmanship, just amazing!
I can’t believe how amazing these are, a beautiful dream in complexity and imagination. Little hidden nooks and places to explore and hide treasure maps and other ancient objects ❤
Awesome. If I ever have the money for one I'll buy a desk or table with all sorts of hidden compartments like that. ;) Always found this kind of thing really cool
I'm going to check out your other videos. If love to learn how to make these. This is wonderfully clever work. If you've got a storefront I'll check it out, next time I'm that way.
These are really nice. Fuck secrets are always a blast and my favorite thing about some antique furniture. Gonna second that build videos would make this a top tier channel.
These are so amazing. I've been a subscriber for a while now and love seeing your updates. I think you could record your process of building individual parts of your tables and upload them. I think you'd be able to develop a pretty solid fanbase.
@@davidolundell I think even if you did a timelapse with maybe a 2-3 minute demonstration of what you're doing would grab a lot of attention and be enough to get you a ton of views
I am surprised that there are still nerds into creating mysterious mystical wooden furniture (other than movie props of 3D printed plastic, or as stage magic equipment). I only remember a TV documentary about a desk in the Versailles palace (of Louis XIV?) that was enormously complicated for its time, with plenty of hidden features and secret lock mechanisms. When seeing the WIP puzzle desk thing, I first thought you were creating a mechanical chess automaton in the style of Wolfgang von Kempelen's "The Turk".
I know you've posted videos about how your mechanisms are made and work, and I still cannot wrap my head around how you make these. Good work sir, very well done.
I love these videos but honestly man if you started doing a little more of the actual building of the mechanisms and the hidden components I really think this channel would be in the 7 figure follower range.
Takes time to make videos and YT isn't paying out as much. Plus, these are his secrets that makes his work unique. If others copy his work he will deal with counterfeits and or competition to sell his work. He isn't just making art and furniture, he is making a legacy like a great artist hopes to leave. Once he has gotten old and grey/gray he might share the wealth of his knowledge. There are a lot of books that show how a lot of his stuff is done.
Imagine putting one of these as the sole piece of hardware in an escape room with symbols all over the walls as clues on how to unlock the desk compartments and find the key to escape.
Could you please put blueprints on the secret drawers and a list of the stuff you need to make them? I really want to make one but I’m afraid I’m gonna mess it up and don’t wanna waste supplies
So I just came across your video and I have to say wow I’m officially amazed by your level of detail and craftsmanship, with that said, do you have a website where you list your work? Do you do custom pieces by order? If so how long in advance do you need for a project such as this?
I don't currently take orders from my website. Sometimes, I'll take custom orders from email requests, but my biggest problem is I am a one man show, so it's usually months between builds. I end up having to turn down most requests
I'm scared that the falling drawer at 1:15 just let everything hit the ground by falling. Maybe make it a lil bit slower with a spring holding it to the top ? Anyway i'm no one to judge and it is absolutely amazing as always.
It should release a mechanical windup mouse onto floor that rushes around in zigzag patterns to distract the thieves. 😉 Perhaps the mouse is the key for another lock somewhere hidden in the room as part of a puzzle.
An Alchemists desk would be more apt. Not all philosphers were/are into dark magick etc but Alcehemists on the other hand..... As an aside though good call on using the green. I would've prob split the purple up into red & blue so you'd have all 3 of the important colours (represemting Sun, Moon & Saturn) represented.
I need something like that to hide my snacks and stuff from my teen and 9 yr old. Stuff goes missing if it's not locked or hidden away. Parents gotta do what parents gotta do just to have a little snackage. 🤣
Hey man, I absolutely love what you do, I always liked stuff full of hidden compartments and areas. How can I start making stuff like this? Probably something simpler like a chest with one of those locks.

Idk why this got recommended to me but I'm glad it did because what the hell these are so cool
I really like the plain desk honestly. It looks so classy
Bro you deserve more subscribers. The insanity of your talent needs to be recognized.
I appreciate that!
🤯🤯🤯🤯
So beautiful and so many hidden drawers. I love them
I know nothing of the lore or stories behind these desks but as a cabinet maker myself I can say they are beautiful and excellently crafted.
Thank you!
I was wide-eyed the whole time on the tables. Thoroughly impressed.
Awesome. If I ever have the money for one I'll buy a desk or table with all sorts of hidden compartments like that. ;)

how is this channel so underrated?? This is absolutely amazing
I see people steal my videos and get millions of views. I am not sure what I am doing wrong.
Absolutely amazing. Would love to own one. Craftsmanship is superb. Soooooo cool
I love this! I really appreciate craftsmanship when it comes to things.
This is so bad ass! I wish I could own one.
Awesome! Won, amazing. You have brought my favorite puzzle games to life.
I keep hoping 'the room' will want to do a collaboration.
Bravo! 👏 Your ingenious ability to design with both functionality and absolute beauty shows your mastery of your craftsmanship! ❤
Thank you very much!
This is pretty cool, good job dude
Can't wait to see the videos of the completed puzzle tables! Fantastic! 🤯
It's going to be a good one. It might be the first table I refuse to sell.
Let me know when you make another one of the green one. I need it
A true Craftsman your work is amazing
These are awesome!! 😎😎👍
They fit together so beautifully; if I were buying one, I’d buy all three and ask for a chair to match!

Oooo I make knitted Raven wing shawls, about to make an owl one for a friend & these desks fit the same vibe lol
You’re a master furniture maker
*sigh* I hate being poor...
my thoughts exactly right after he said Pirate Puzzle Desk
lol yeah 😂
Impressive work. I'm waiting to give you $$$ for a 'Merica table and a Wick nightstand!
The sounds are so satisfying

that's not a bad idea. I wouldn't be able to build as fast, but maybe I could make up the income with the youtube revenue

I wish man these desk have my jaw on the floor as a die hard potter fan I’d die for this desk I’m drawing plans to build my own in my head rn
I'd love to see some of the build process, especially the casting and pouring
I filmed the casting but I filmed it up right. I might post it, but I know that filmed upright is sort of annoying to watch on TH-cam.
Sweet work brother👊🏽
This is bad ass.
Someday some family is going to wonder where the important family heirlooms went and never be able to find them…
Amazing video, I broke into this guy’s house and couldn’t figure out how his desk worked. Now I found his hidden gold bars. - Burglar
Well made your grace 😌....I'll need one of those days 🙏💜💫🪶
Didn't watch the video but these tables deserve special attention they are awesome
That’s dope, nice design & craftsmanship.
Sweet... interesting I like your work

Wow - wonderful work❤
Dude, you just sold that to a wizzard up to no good.
I absolutely would lose something in that desk and have no way of remembering how to find the compartment my lost object was in 😂
Reminds me of the weird Resident Evil puzzles where you need specific items and keys just to unlock anything in the games.
I should have known that I couldn't afford one.
They're all amazing🙏
This is fantastic
I would love to purchase a table…how can I find out price and a way to move forward or talk to you?
Incredible!
This is amazing work.
My frist view on your (final?) work...and I am amazed! Do what ever you have/want to do...and this was much impressing 👍🏻👍🏻

Sad to hear, but looking forward to what else you make. Was looking to buy one at some point
I just got here. What is happening and how many figures do these things cost?
this is the next level of whimsy-maxxing for any silly wizards or gnomes with stilts (the desks are too tall)
WOW, those are absolutely RAD!!!
Wow!!!
The one without resin is 100x cooler.

I have a design for an alchemist table. I just need to find some time to build it.
“Final”?! Are going to stop making these philosopher desks?! Please tell me you’re not going to stop, you’re just taking a break!😢
If I do build more of this design, it won't be for a while.
@davidolundell that thing would make a great movie prop
Unless you’re buying one, why do you care?

Just one day, maybe like 5 years later. When I make my own house. I swear I will get this. No matter if I even have to beg on my knees for it. I will.

Thank you!
So cool
Awesome.

I would immediately forget where I put everything..
I don’t even have space but I want want of those tables
I would love to design things like this but don't got the skill or time.
Id love to see something Diablo (video game) inspired. I can only imagine having something like this done, ur qork is gorgeous
Id hate to see his evil twin

Que móvel impressionante, muito lindo mesmo, eu acho muito interessante móveis com esses mecanismos, parabéns 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

I think your best bet is to just start building.
How do I buy this? I don’t see a link
best way is through email david@luckyroosterco.com
What would be cool is a big and smal table series that combine aspects of other tabels that customers like
