Yeah since they are seiyus that learned how to play and sing at the same time they actually didnt have a lot (almost nothing) of music experience and they play this songs that are not the easiest to play actually and all that while they are still in character
in order to be casted in a band anime: 1. great voice (acting and singing) 2. expert on playing imstruments i think these girls (popipa and roselia) really trained so hard to play instruments. i'm excellently impressed by them 😊
Ummm, Ayasa (seiyuu of Arisa) doesn't really play keyboard before she got into Popipa. Meguchi (seiyuu of Ako) also doesn't play drum before she got into Roselia. So no, you don't need to be an expert on playing instruments.

nope they took VA that can sing then they made them learn to play instrument in words of the main vocalist she would actually cried at the begining because she couldnt play and sing at the same time she had some experience playing guitar and well she had more singing experience I mean she sang the 14th ending of fairy tail and when you hear that you can see that whats more impressive is that they sing on character in comparisson on their actual voice
