Either way I really love this song, and the PV direction, and the outfits. The CG is a bit clunky but I like how they were motion-captured by the girls. Couldn't agree more. For the time being, I can't see anybody but Sally being my favourite of the group. But I like that just because she's insanely popular right now, that doesn't make her the leader of the group or anything. Keeping her where she is in the group is a good thing because it means that we can still appreciate her when she gets her moments in the spotlight, but it also means that when she isn't the focus, we're getting time to appreciate the rest of the girls. And from what Sally's said on her streams, they're all pretty interested in all the memes and everything. Even if they don't fully understand some of the weirder stuff like Pepe. I'm also afraid that she might get treated poorly by her co-workers because of it. :( Actually I was thinking that the other possibility is Sally was intended to be the center of the group from the start and this popularity is intentional. This would also explain why she gets so much freedom regarding what she says. If they wanted to stop her from unbalacing the group and attracting international audience they could just forbid her from speaking english but they haven't done that. This is from 2 years ago so I'm not @ ing you but for the people reading this, I wanna clarify Sally absolutely does talk about things that other idols don't talk about, and has said herself that there are things she can only talk about in English or she would get in trouble. Some of this is just a cultural thing (for instance, a lot of the sarcastic jokes she makes in English would be taken as mean-spirited to a Japanese audience), but it's not JUST about jokes. She's pretty outspoken about the management's attempts to control her and criticizes them openly. Honestly, that would get you fired from MOST jobs, not just being an idol. And a couple of years ago she was actually worried that she might be fired because she wasn't getting interviews, which she said was "because I shit-talk, and they know it." She talks in her streams and sometimes even on her official blog about the many times she's gotten in trouble, either for stuff she's said or stuff she did without permission (eg she got permission to cut her hair after much arguing, but they dictated exactly how much she was allowed to cut, and she went slightly over). And I've noticed that she always either refrains from translating these comments into Japanese, or gives an extremely toned-down version (occasionally something completely different from what she actually said). So I don't think it's true that she "gets so much freedom" regarding what she says (it's just that her bosses don't know English so they don't catch a lot of it), but I ALSO don't think it's true that her frankness is typical for idols. That said! Sally has said, as for the other members, "They're basically all my best friends," so there's certainly no reason to worry about them treating her poorly.

This is from 2 years ago so I'm not @ ing you but for the people reading this, I wanna clarify
Sally absolutely does talk about things that other idols don't talk about, and has said herself that there are things she can only talk about in English or she would get in trouble. Some of this is just a cultural thing (for instance, a lot of the sarcastic jokes she makes in English would be taken as mean-spirited to a Japanese audience), but it's not JUST about jokes. She's pretty outspoken about the management's attempts to control her and criticizes them openly. Honestly, that would get you fired from MOST jobs, not just being an idol. And a couple of years ago she was actually worried that she might be fired because she wasn't getting interviews, which she said was "because I shit-talk, and they know it." She talks in her streams and sometimes even on her official blog about the many times she's gotten in trouble, either for stuff she's said or stuff she did without permission (eg she got permission to cut her hair after much arguing, but they dictated exactly how much she was allowed to cut, and she went slightly over). And I've noticed that she always either refrains from translating these comments into Japanese, or gives an extremely toned-down version (occasionally something completely different from what she actually said).
So I don't think it's true that she "gets so much freedom" regarding what she says (it's just that her bosses don't know English so they don't catch a lot of it), but I ALSO don't think it's true that her frankness is typical for idols.
That said! Sally has said, as for the other members, "They're basically all my best friends," so there's certainly no reason to worry about them treating her poorly.
