Great Video I love the machine so far. I had a Xtool D1 20w before, but this machine is so much better and looks great I love the complete enclosure. I would highly recommend this to anyone.
I bought one a couple of weeks ago, and I agree with everything you said. It is an amazing machine, and the support is better than any other product I have ever bought. If you have a question, you will hear back quickly guaranteed. I am 76, retired and found this to be a new tool to add to my woodworking hobby.
personally, i consider the Genmitsu L8 the better deal. i got mine at $800.00 at Amazon plus with 12 months installment at 0% interest. BUT it has nothing on the customer support of the Roly and honestly Roly has the far superior marketing with so many videos and resources to help the newbie
I use their guide that came with the laser and was super easy. please let me know if you got it to work, remember you need to do a basic calibration for each material thickness you use, you can save the profiles and load them when needed.
So one of the advantages of the S1 is the autofocus, but I'm actually working to add one on mine and soon available for everyone other than that I preferer to use Lightburn a lot more than Xtool software. and for the S1 I'm adding a camera but basically will be like my Roly, at that point Roly comes with more things out of the box for less money.
Yep the AutoFocus is what is atracting me to the machine, but the bed is not stable like the Roly which makes absolute a good thing as well. But I think they will make improvements Based on the responce I got from ROLY @@AlivePixelCreates
I am wanted to get started, in a small business, doing crafts and graphics. I am already retired. Plus I do not have the cash or space right now in the garage. For a healthy CO2. Anyway thanks take care
Hi great review. I was wondering how the mk2s laser module held up against the S1 or D1 pro 40w lasers only for beam width xtool seems to have very narow beams for their size or is there noticable difference in quality of engraving/cutting
Thanks for the review!! Subscribed!! Question. Is the 30 watt cut size that noticeably bigger than the 20? Also. As a hobby. Would you say the speed and power of the 30 is not enough to justify the cost of getting it over the 20? Considering both options. I want to cut wooded mandalas, fun projects and some black acrylic, but I also want engrave as a side hustle. ( i guess the switch to 10 watt has it covered) Had a laser before but sold it coz it wasn’t as safe as these.
Personally I need a small details in some things and the change between 20 and 10 works perfect for me the 30 is a little bit bigger yes you will notice
You say this is a hobby machine, I was thinking of buying one to kickstart a side hustle for engraving and creating gifts. Do you think that’s a bad idea?
All desktop lasers should be considered hobby machines. That doesn't mean that will not work for production or hard work days lol I use my rolly a lot and is hooked to a professional small air purifier in my office. Go to our website and if you use the affiliate links we have we will send you also a set of free jigs of your choice :)
My only issue with these companies is that they're constantly updating their equipment. If I get this now and they come out with an updated version like the XW or an MK3 then I'm out of luck. I understand these machines are not meant to be full time business, but it's still difficult to jump right in when they're constantly updating their equipment
The laser hits it In the zero position and gets scratched or dehomed. It’s very tight. I initially wanted to place a fire sensor on it, but it wasn’t doable. I had to remove it a 2nd time.

Like everything in life, ultimately goes down to personal preference. But so far I've been really happy with Roly.
The bar on the front is just for shipping. You can remove it.
Yeah I kind of like the look of it tho
Great video.
Do you have the opportunity to show the camera setup for Roly

In my honest opinion, this is the best for the money for diode lasers.
Absolutely agree with you you get so much out of the box with this machine they really put a high bar for any company
Very Good Review. Thank you!!!👍
My pleasure!
I know it is up to me, but how about this vs the S1

This is my favorite laser of all time. The price is right. Space works fine too.

I haven't had any issue with dot size and also remember, hotter laser like 40w will make a huge hot area making a whole burn

This one is a little more forgiving and Leo the owner works a lot on making the machines upgradable.
I subscribed 👍😎
Thank you so much for the support

You need to take the front bar off.. it’s for shipping
I just noticed I never took mine off!
Yeah but doesn't affect anything lol
@@AlivePixelCreates I kind of like how it keeps the cover a bit more rigid🤷🏻♀️
