As a customer in market, I totally understand the frustration of people over the delays. As an engineer who has worked in automotive industry for considerable time, I am surprised that Sono has managed to create a Car from scratch at all. Also, I would like to remind them that Tesla- an established brand with deep pockets - had announced the "Roadster" in 2017, "Cybertruck" in 2019 and neither of them are yet in production. If a person, believes in the idea of an affordable, non profit driven, eco friendly, family car, I say Sion should be worth the wait. #savesion
The price and the business plan are completely unrealistic. They are far from production and the risk by reserving and paying in advance is enormous. Sono Motors have been fighting bankruptcy during their existence and will only get enough funds for a few months via the crowdfunding.
You are kind of wrong. The Sion has been fighting for its existence since the beginning and I wouldn’t invest in the car either. But sono motors the company behind the car is very liquid and has lots of funds and at the heart of the company solar technology that has lots of potential. Either way the company will make loads of money of their solar technology. But yes…
@@LightW you are completely wrong. The #savesion campaign was started since Sono Motors can't get funding. They got 150m last year via the IPO and had only 25m left by start of December. They just got a 30m loan with horrible conditions. The solar tech had a revenue of 38k last quarter, with 43k sale costs, it is minor, can't pay one salary.

It´s a fact i did not realise bevor it was mentioned here.
A 54 kw Home battery is about 54000€ right now, buts its just a battery no car around it.
Yes. As he mentioned you get the battery for half price and you get the car for free
