I feel like you guys don't fully understand how Indian movies work yet lol. The actors don't sing the songs, they have playback singers and the actors just lip sync the songs. It would be really hard if every actor had to be able to sing. The songs are part of the movie it's not just a promotional tactic, if you watch the movies you will see the songs in it. That's not just for Bollywood its for all indian movies. That's pretty much how they work.
Yes Deepika is playing an actress in the movie and srk plays a junior artist. He saves her life and instead of thank you, he asks to spend an evening with her. So he takes her to a set and make it the best evening ever.
