    Would you mind ADDING LINKS to your WEB PAGE as well as links for any PRODUCTS and TOOLS used here in the description so that we can buy through you, and also links to SIGN UP FOR your COURSES when they become available, please? You will be surprised, I think, just how many customers you will get off of your TH-cam page IF you use it properly, even doubling or tripling your sales/income without doing additional work to get it IF you keep on top of comments, etc, and sales from it. Thank you for a great videos series!

    That mesh,... what material is that? It seems synthetic, a great way to make an ecologically responsible technique not so responsible. Is a hemp mesh possible?

    • @MikeWyeLtd
      @MikeWyeLtd  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hello, it is a glass fibre mesh. Hemp would be possible but you would need to build up the backing coats a bit thicker

      @@MikeWyeLtd Thanks! Makes sense to make the coat applied under the mesh a bit thicker. A question that remains though is if the lime plaster bonds with the hemp mesh as it would with glass fiber... Any thoughts on this? Other than that, I assume the fiber mesh is superior to hemp mesh in terms of its reinforcement properties, or?

      @@buildyear86 The lime should bond with the hemp ok. The fibre mesh would likely be stronger.

      At 5:00 - 5:01 you actually use a term or name for the mesh but I can't understand what it is? Besides glass fibre mesh what was the term you used?

    For a larger area, like a whole shower, do you work in sections? How quickly does it dry?

    • @MikeWyeLtd
      @MikeWyeLtd  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You need to set out your day, if I am doing a three wall shower for example, I would do the two side walls on one day and the back wall the next. Although it has a hydraulic set you have plenty of working time, depending on suction you should have a good few hours to work with it.

    I've installed microcement floors and walls for years. I'd love to offer this to clients. Will be trying it out.
    Can you mix in micro fibers into the base coat instead of having to apply the mesh fabric?
    Also will you or the company that makes the product ship to the US?

    • @MikeWyeLtd
      @MikeWyeLtd  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Mojo, I've not tried with fibres but probably possible. We currently cannot ship to the US but Kreidezeit would do. I think they have an agent in the States. Here is a link: www.kreidezeit.de/en/distributors/

    Hi mike Can I just use normal hydrated lime for the backing coat? Also can I just go over the top of sand and cement with TADELAKT

    • @MikeWyeLtd
      @MikeWyeLtd  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello Mr Buster, our apologies for leaving your question unanswered. With Kreidezeit Tadelakt we advise only the use of their product Lime Wall Finish (Fine) as the backing coat, for reliable results. You can go over sand & cement, we would apply an initial coating of Kreidezeit Casein Primer to ensure good adhesion.

    What is the sand and lime ratio for undercoats?

    • @MikeWyeLtd
      @MikeWyeLtd  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      We use a pre-bagged product called Lime Wall Finish made by Kreidezeit www.mikewye.co.uk/product/lime-wall-finish-kreidezeit/ for the base coat.

    It works on drywall??

    • @MikeWyeLtd
      @MikeWyeLtd  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It does but it would be preferable to use a tile backer board in water areas
