However, it’s not all fun and games this Weekend; Martins has to put his training to the test, in a contest that mimics the same events to come in the finals.

Well, if he doesn't have the strict shoulder strength, the momentum was the perfect technique. Martins will have a hard time doing his jerks if there are pads to the side of him making less room for his feet to shoot out.
@@thevikingbeard89 yeah, i was thinking - if hips are his ultimate strenght point (like we saw on stones) he might use it on log too...but maybe he was just showing off :D

This is the way strongman shows should be, out in the public, no barriers, people very close to the action. When you're standing next to guys like this lifting huge weights in person, it's extremely impressive

The fact that Kielezkowski is ONLY 25 blows my mind. He will for sure win WSM when he gets that DL cleaned up. He's incredibly strong in almost every other event.

Yesterday after grinding out my last set of 5 reps on a strict press at 150 lbs, I could not contain myself and roared "Martins!!" while thrusting my arms high in the air. Now after seeing the 5 rep 375 lbs stone lifts, I realize I may not yet be qualified to do the full-throated Martins roars. But perhaps I can still whisper it to myself when no one is looking.

amazing to see how much THE ARNOLD loves lifting sports, no matter who it is, as long as they're trying amazing lifting feats, he's right there to support them. Huge fan of WSM and the Arnold Classic. Love seeing the relationship between all the competitors too. You're in it to win but there's respect and sportsmanship all the time. I love how you're always joking around (I was laughing so hard at the Arnold story time part XD), but then it's clear that when it comes to competitions you mean business ... when asked how you felt about second place on the truck pull, you just said it wasn't fast enough.

If Martins improves his press I think he is THE guy to beat. As Brian Shaw said in the live-stream - its about coming 2nd or 3rd in your weak events and nailing your best events. At the minute I think Martins is capable of doing that more than Mateus. But both are the big up and comers! WSM has always had these pairings - the great rivalries. MARTIIIIINS!
