Trying to judge where you are in the moment as good or bad is how losers think, no offense. You have to think on a longer timeline, so that way you can always see beyond the moment. This is how you maintain faith in tomorrow, forever.

Martins is a gamer, likes metal, rides a skateboard, coaches people. He's a funny and creative person. So no i dont think its just a language barrier. Nothing wrong with that tho, it just doesnt make for fun youtube content except for the heavy lifting.

To be honest, they need to regulate something. Otherwise, people are going to be accidentally dropping the stone off the stage to get extra Recovery time. I'm not saying that Martin did it on purpose.
@@williamkelly5689 Actually, the "extra Recovery" time, when it's too long, brings down the adrenaline rush those guys start with (the ammonia hit right before the start), and is detrimental. Notice with the Austrian Oak, Martins basically did the first 2 reps back to back, no rest.

Martins reminds me of a Magnus Ver Magnusson type strongman. Performs much better under the pressure of competition than in training. Martins can win the WSM but he will have to be very strategic like Magnus, he won't be able to come in like Kaz or Hall and just have angry sex with the implement and win via brutality.

Been waiting for this video since the Arnold. You climbing the wheel of pain was definitely my favorite part of the competition. And by far the most impressive day 2 of any competitor.

best part is how all these super alpha powerful monsters all are friendly with each other . Good sportsmanship is good to see. Martin is one of the best sports.
It seems Like the way Shaw and Pritchett deadlift is what caused them to injure there hamstring, they seem to use a lot of hamstrings when performing there deadlift . I also think that if thor didn't slip he would have got the 1100 lb deadlift .

from what i saw on thors deadlift on his right side the bar tilted a bit forward. i believe he had the strenght to do it too but the execution had to be absolutely perfect
Shaw said in his video the bar whipped forward which caused to pull on his hamstring more.
