    What a great side venture to your Tassie trip. You presented a great and spectacular view of Bruny. Good work, I should like to visit there someday. Cheers Tony

    You missed the Captain Cook Museum at Adventure Bay. It has his hand-written log on show. Also the trip to the South Island lighthouse and the magnificent views from there. I love Bruny - the best part of Tassie.

    Hi guys….love this video….the nature there…incredible, now I have to try and shoe horn a visit to Bruny, we have trips organised for almost every day during our short stay in Tassie…we plan to go to Maria Island….so might try and make it two islands to explore….our trip later this year is just in the south, we will look at the north another time…..this will be our second time in Tassie….we experienced a weather bomb last time, heavy rain, snow on the high ground…howling gales, and this was in December…felt right at home like my own islands crazy weather…but you know what, we loved Tassie, hence our return later this year…cheers guys for your hard work making these great videos x

      Sadly we were a little worried about the road conditions and whether our van would be fine driving there! We actually had a chat with another camper who had just been down that way and they said that the road was pretty pot-holey at the time of our visit

    As a local I think the ferry prices are outrageously expensive. If the images you showed are yours, I think you saw both species of Tasmanian quoll: the Eastern Quoll (lighter) and the Tiger Quoll (darker).

    • @lydiaandwehan
      @lydiaandwehan  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I think the ferry was pretty cheap for us as travellers, especially compared to the ferries in other states such as to Kangaroo Island in SA which was almost the cost of the Spirit of Tas! 😅
      I’m sure as a local it’s a huge pain and can really add up if you’re frequently travelling to and from Bruny or live there, it’s such a shame that they don’t offer it free or significantly reduced for locals.
      The images we showed were taken on the night as we were driving and the video clips we showed when talking about the colouring of the quolls was from the beautiful Eastern quolls during our time volunteering at Devils @ Cradle 😊

    • @jakecook716
      @jakecook716 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      There's no Tiger Quolls on Bruny. Just Eastern Quolls, they come in light and dark morphs. Both are the same species. Tiger Quolls are considerably bigger, and only come in light colour

      @@lydiaandwehan at least you had the same reaction as each other- try going on a date with someone and their whole family at some fancy restaurant, having 3(or more) of the things because they’re trying to impress you with the decadence, and then having to get them to stop the car on the way home so that you can throw up! I’ve not touched oysters of any sort since then, but yes, I used to enjoy kilpatrick!

      We always try our best with pronunciations everywhere we go and search for them online or ask locals (especially after getting the pronunciation of Gravelly Beach so wrong! 🤣).. but we don't always get it right.
      I believe with Truganini we saw a few references online saying that the media often refers to Truganini as 'truh-ga-ni-ni' but based on the pronunciation of the language (Nuennonne) around Oyster Bay it would actually be 'troo-ga-ni-ni'. But it was quite hard to find a clear source online, so we definitely don't mean any disrespect if we pronounced her name wrong.

      @@lydiaandwehan I know you don’t mean any disrespect 😘😘 I’m glad that you guys make the effort to try to find the correct pronunciations of things! Hey- you pretty much nailed Launceston, so you’re winning IMO!! 😂😂
