    Grew up in queenstown and its deffo a better place to visit than live lol
    ETA: its 76 bends not 99. I got given the busy work on a grade 5 school trip to count them (ie shut me up), and i still remember.

    The cars in the car park would have been those of people doing the longer hike & camping out

    Queenstown is cool. I remember as a kid counting the 99 bends...😅Love the rail museum. I believe the round thing is called a roundhouse. Nsw has a fab museum too 😍

      How many bends did you end up counting? Wehan started trying to count them from our sped-up GoPro footage but gave up as it made us motion sick watching it 🥴 Queenstown was super cool, a very unique town!

    Absolutely loving your videos, you are both so engaging and give us so much info….I just cannot wait until December when we return…definitely going to do the north next visit….I have hatched a plan, once my wife retires in not distant future, we intend to stay over in Tassie over our horrible winter months, to enjoy slightly warmer climbs….and tour all over the island….brilliant guys, have to say you both are simply wonderful folks…thanks for sharing

      You're so kind, thank you 😊 I bet you're counting down the days! It's a smart idea just doing specific areas for each trip, I feel like a lot of people try and squish the whole of Tassie into short trips and don't realise how much Tassie has to offer. Everyone we've spoken to always wishes they could stay longer.
      Also a great idea coming over to skip your winters, does it get cold and wet during winter in Jersey? 🥶

      @@lydiaandwehan hi guys, well yes…Tassie is an island, but a big one, so it makes sense to do smaller trips this time around, decided let others do the driving, being as we have trips most days….next visit to Tassie we will do the north, but these for now our tasters…down the line we will take longer trips ourselves…I have been blown away already with SW Western Australia…..stunning…..yep our island 9 miles by 5 miles, just off the coast of Northern France, is an English speaking place with most road names in French…we are not part of the UK….climate is very Melbourne like, summers now can hit 38C now, long hot summers, wet, wet, wet wild Autumn and winters, this last winter we had hurricane winds and two tornadoes hit us…..Spring not far away, then it’s very green here, busy island, 113,000 people, but…….200,000 cars…..insane….still it home for us….but yes, plan to spend January to end of March each year in Australia…just to escape the cold and wet….and to enjoy the flora and fauna of , to me the very best country in the World….safe travels on the boat back across that interesting strait…x

      The beaches are the best in SW Western Australia but we may be a little biased. Oh wow, we didn't realise Jersey was that small... How do you fit 200,000 cars there!!! 🤣 We've been loving Tassie as it's so compact compared to the mainland. Hurricane winds and tornadoes sounds rough, definitely sounds like a great plan coming to Aussie for your winter months.

      We’ve never heard of a muskrat before, they look like little beavers, how cute! 🦫 I think I’ll need to start making more effort with my hair, it gets so scruffy so quickly 😅
      Glad you enjoyed! 💙

    Awesome vid! It's definitely a water rat, too. I've seen them the size of a cat before

      @lydiaandwehan  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thank you 😊 See the size really threw us off cause we thought they got really big. The size of a cat is crazy though, can't imagine spotting one that big!
