I was able to pull my beagle off a scent the other day (I mean when they go red and start baying scent) for a the first time just by saying “Come” and I was so happy haha. Still a long way to go but giving her sniff rewards and working on our engagement etc like this video and such gas helped so much!

For anyone reading this: I know that dog training can be difficult sometimes, but you're doing great. Keep up the good work, and your dog (and your own sanity) will thank you for it! ❤️💕

Well said about the use of prong collars. I was hesitant about using them but using a slip lead is so much more dangerous because my dog would pull at distractions and the slip lead would not deter her at all and she would just choke herself. She responds a lot better to the prong collar and I’m getting so much closer to my goals. I don’t use harsh corrections until she really lunges at a squirrel/dog, she’s starting to get a lot better though😊

    This is great!!!
What if you are practicing and you have a stubborn dog that just stops and won’t “turn around” when you want to go the other way?

Hi, I stumbled upon this video all the way from Portugal in Europe.
I have a Belgian shepherd / mud who is very reactive to anything on 2 wheels (especially food delivery people) and some dogs
The dog listens 99.9% of the walk and reacts very unpredictably to different stimuli. I’m using the prong on him already, and working with another trainer. I’m just looking for some extra tips to decrease the value / excitement from the motorcycle’s and have him focused on me.
Could you help me from all the way there? 😁😁

Can you make two videos with the topics of:
    (1) A glossary type of video of dog commands and what they are supposed to be. For example, i didn't realize the end goal of "come" was right in front of me AND sitting. I am sure i am missing other little nuances to the other commands. Sit, stay, stand, come, place, crate, heel are the ones i have seen in your vids. It would be nice for other interactive ones like paw or touch or anything else you may recommend.
    (2) How would you train a puppy/dog who runs away? For example, my pup gets her zoomies when outside and i "lose" her. We are still working on "come" inside in low distraction areas, but she needs to stretch her legs in the backyard. How should we wrangle her? Is it better to not chase her, slowly approach, always keep her on a slip lead outside, etc. What should be my behavior towards my dog's behavior?
Thank you! Your vids have been amazing and i love your consequence structure paradigm.

Thank you for showing us this training technique so that people who can't afford professional training can train our dogs.

How would you handle a timid dog with ADD wearing a prong collar? Especially when going through uncontrolled environments (strays, squirrels, cats, loud sounds, etc.)
