Like watching your channel, I lived down there in 1968-1970. And yes, I lived in Chalmette. It was quite a change for someone who was born and raised in Kodiak, Alaska. Favorite place to eat was Rocky and Carlo's there in Saint Bernard.
It’s nice to see the different methods of catching those crawdads. Every way from the little pyramid trap to the four foot commercial pillow traps. I learned a bunch. The Go Devil motor on Chad’s custom boat worked pretty slick. That motor seems to be the move, for that environment. I think a little aluminum boat with a small pilothouse and a Go Devil would work pretty slick. Pilothouse would be nice to get out of the sun, every now and then. Outstanding compilation.
This was an amazing crawfish compilation video. I really want to go out and exoerience that Louisiana crawfish catch myself. If you ever offer a guided trip for a day or two, I'm here for it. I'm from Indiana, but I would gladly pay you let me get in on that Louisiana crawfish action.
I came over from Yawt Yawt. I’m from Hattiesburg, but now in Houston. I’ve never eaten crawfish, but will have to try it before I die. I have eaten lots of dewberry cobbler. Enjoyed your videos. A new subscriber.
Jared, one helluva video compilation. I can’t wait to visit St. Bernard Parish in the spring. Here’s wishing you and your family a happy and prosperous New Year.😊
Hell yah its Crawfish season 🎉. Nice to see Ronnie out there with you👍. Happy New Year, Jared, Ronnie and family's 🎉. Gonna be yummy! You are killin me with all that delicious food 🫢!!!! JO JO IN VT 💞
What a wonderful compilation - and I loved the intro! This one is so totally different to your usual videos, and such a great change - Keep it up! Happy New Year from South Africa!!
We would always put the live crawfish in on a very rigorous rolling boil, and then shut the fire off just as soon as the pot gets back up to a good boil (which would be 6-8 minutes or so after putting the crawfish in). Then mix in a bag of ice to kill the boil. I’ve not once had an undercooked crawfish. But I’ve seen plenty overcooked.
I have seen Louisiana so many places and so many times on videos and shows but never been there. I would love to go and try my luck at crabbing or shrimping to make a huge boil....one day! Gumbo, Po'boy, Etouffee. C'est Si Bon!
Jared, i really enjoy fishing and eating them, and i enjoy your vank fishing videos, but whew, i love crawfish even more, love the tips, got a crawfish competition coming up in April, keep the videos coming brother

Adding extra vegs is always a plus! Even if the packets have the dried out version of the vegs it'll never be nothing like freshly cooked vegetables 😋
Im right across the levee from y'all, in Algiers.
One of my favorite videos. I’m ready for some crawfish now.

You didn't mention purging your crawfish before boiling (at least not in the first segment). Doing so gets a whole lot of dirt out of them.
