    Good Video. I have never moved a piano that way but That was ok. I like that long dolly.
    It would only make a small difference on the landings, but the piano was upside down.
    My rule is " Long side to the inside." The back to the inside turn.

    I wouldn't have trusted shrink wrap alone to keep piano balanced. Don't they know how to use straps?

    Wrong dolley, reefer or appliance dolley needed so you can tighten strap instead of shrink wrapping to two-wheel dolley

    These ones are light. any piano over 230kg/500 pound is challenging.

      Yes this is definitely the lighter variant

    Holy shit that is not how you move a piano. It only worked for you cause you had wide landings and a small piano. That is not the norm. Grands and big uprights have to be deadlifted around turns. You just did the simplest. Maybe I've just done a lot of moving but i could do that move in 5-10 minutes with no effort.

      It's crazy most moving companies don't professional equipment like they do I can't imagine moving a 400 pound piano down 3 flight of stairs without it...

    Where can I get that dolly?

  • @blessingjwara2209
    @blessingjwara2209 7 ปีที่แล้ว +7

    Thighten with a strap and not a selotape as piano is heavy

    • @RescueMovingServices
      @RescueMovingServices  7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Thank you for your comment about using straps, but since we're doing this for over 15 years we're just using shrink wrap and tape as you can see its secure . Believe me we know what we're doing Lol

    • @pointnIaugh
      @pointnIaugh 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I did one like that with a reefer dolly. We strapped it down, and ran truck straps through the handles of the dolly and slid it down the stairs. Lots of fun 😥😥😥

    • @dw734
      @dw734 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I was going to suggest the same things since they aren't using an appliance dolly. Much easier and more secure.

    • @dw734
      @dw734 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      But everyone has their own techniques. The right way is the way that moves the piece safely and you guys did a great job.

    Its not a dolly its a trolley and can you use more plastic and tape next time such a fcn waste yeh maybe a nice uniform would look good not your beach wear.😂

  • @Manifesssto888
    @Manifesssto888 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Ridiculous sorry. When you "so-called" slide it down the stairs you purposely have to over angle the trolley so that those silly sliders touch the stairs for the first 2 steps only.
    Then you correct the angle to where the sliders don't make contact anymore thus taking it down the rest of the way as you would with a normal trolley without the sliders yes?
    So they are not in use yet you try to clown us by insisting that it's sliding down the stairs when it's clearly not😑
    ...anyway that sort of thing just pisses me off.
    Lastly, everyone including you knows that those sliders will damage wooden stairs even carpeted stairs, and scratch most other stair surfaces so yeh they are ridiculous.
