Thanks for the showcase, I'm pretty sure that the next core booster set will be Zexal themed and support Utopia since the last one supported GE, if that's the case I can't wait to see what the deck will be able to do post support!
@@JaimePerera Apologies for the misunderstanding, I was referring to Galaxy Eyes. Since series 11 (even before this), the pattern for individual series' sets are that one is based on the protagonist's archetype, then another character's archetype, then the protagonist's archetype (e.g 5Ds themed sets were Dawn of Majesty (5Ds protagonist cards), Darkwing Blast (Crow's cards), Duelist Nexus 5Ds protagonist's cards again).
I am very late to respond to this comment but i have a very full of copium theory for the when the next utopia support will drop. Konami could make the card that rappresent utopia v + dark chimera and put it in supreme darkness, because dark chimera is literally on theme + a zw that negate spell and maybe some rank 4 toolbox that lock you in utopia/utopic/number/xyz for the turn shoul be good
@@Maikee777 You are correct that it fits in with the theme but I doubt we'll get those cards in Supreme Darkness as I don't believe Konami have ever put 2 different anime protagonist archetypes in the same core booster set since it would represent a waste of marketing potential (with anime protagonist decks arguably being the most popular anime decks, they're more likely to only use 1 at a time to ensure people consistently buy the packs).
I thought Utopia was done and dusted, but apparently Draco Future takes it to a level where it can compete with modern heroes and even meta. Thanks for keeping the hope alive, I just need to work on my google-fu.
I like using a heroic level 4 engine over the dododo/gagagal/zubababa stuff. I think it's a little more consistent and I like the monsters better overall
@@paleasaghost-5799 I use: 3x Morningstar 2x knuckle sword 3x heroic envoy 1x heroic call 1x gandiva 1x claivesolesh And I side 1 copy of chance for going second. The basic idea is that Morningstar special summons himself for free (or in less than optimal hands he does trigger on normal summon as well) and then he can get you envoy or call. Envoy will search the knuckle sword and call can summon any warrior type monster from hand or gy. In the extra Deck claivesolesh is a one card otk and I like to main deck him as I tend to use Utopia double to combo up going first and like having another kill switch Gandiva isn't the best card but I have an ultimate rare so I fit him in to keep the theme 😂. He's not terrible though as he is a disruption but there are better options than him so take him or leave him. I used to use him as fodder to make utopic Draco future but I have replaced that package with the new armor XYZ so I'm considering cutting him for a more relevant rank four Chance is searchable off of Morningstar going second and you can easily get claivesolesh to 15k+ with it to end games with one swing Some of those cards have graveyard effects as well that can offer some recursion when you are low on life points. This actually comes up quite a bit because you pay so much going second with claivesolesh. The only other card I have considered is assault halberd. He's a free body going second and his effect could come up in a simplified game state but he conflicts directly with ascended sage which is a much better inherent special summon for the deck
Man I want to love Utopia, I really do, but the support just isn't there. There's so much potential in there with so many great support cards but not enough searching to actually get them all in one turn.
Think you could try an Onomat deck without Utopia monster cards? Or are none of the Onomat cards made to function on their own. Things Like Utopic Sage and Utopic Onomat would be acceptable.
