As someone whose profession has been high end production I commend you on the quality of your episode. The intro was super polished, the camera cuts were crisp, audio was very good and the lighting set the perfect mood for the episode. For this to be your 4th episode, you should be proud. I'm glad I caught you early because I can't wait to see where you will be later on.
Stumbled upon these videos last night not realizing this was a new channel. Great content already with great conversations. I’m also a local of Pensacola! 🤙🏻
The reason I bought my explorer is because it’s simply the best in the category of one and done type watches after owning so many other brands and is in that “if you know you know” with not being as flashy as the rest of Rolex. However I am an enthusiast that can run circles in knowledge of ALL watch brands and their history’s I might be in the minority of the typical Rolex buyer. Good show keep them coming!
Really enjoying your content. Glad I found this channel so early. The conversation is really down to earth. You’re the types of collectors I’d love to talk watches and have a beer with. Keep up the great work!
Hey Joey, I own a construction employee leasing company, a large cleaning company, some real estate, and now TH-cam 🤦♂️ 😂. Thanks for checking us out! - Jason
I applaud this video, and both of your Rolex rants. For 2 years I tried my best to get a Rolex Explorer 40mm from multiple ADs located in the Augusta, GA. market. The ADs proclaimed to have me added to their fictitious list. So I stopped waiting, and visited the Grand Seiko boutique in Charleston. Thank you Windsor jewelers in Augusta, you forced me into to better watch.
I really enjoy your content, and your insights have validated some of my thoughts on Rolex. I’m looking to buy my first expensive watch and am torn between the Tudor Black Bay 58 and the Baume & Mercier Riviera with the Baumatic movement. As a professional, which would you recommend? Also, do you have any other suggestions? Thanks!
Haha… yeah it was hard keeping it together at the end there 😂 We’re really glad you liked it and we’re happy you’ve found the channel. Welcome to our little community that we’re building 🙌 - Jason
Your vibes are on point! The conversations yall have seem like you’ve been in the watch content game for a while! Video quality is top notch too. The Rolex video brought me in and I’m Binging your catalog of videos now. Great stuff Godspeed
I own Rolexes too but i liked walking into AD’s before the pandemic. They would treat customers with respect and welcome everyone. Now the AD’s play games and think they are too good for the regular customers😩
That comment about his wife wanting to kill him because he keeps talking about watches is too relatable LMAO. My gf likes watches and she's tired of me talking about it 😬
Hating on Rolex is extremely cliche and redundant. As a new channel with promise, I really hope that doesn't become your identity. It will get your short term clicks, but is not sustainable. Rolex is what it is. They make great watches, and if you can get one at retail it's a no brainer in terms of quality and heritage (assuming you like the watch of course). The AD experience can stink if you have a bad AD, but thats a topic that has been overdone as well. Much more interesting topics to tall about in the watch world than bashing Rolex. This video was a good start but still crept back multiple times into Rolex territory.
I don’t disagree. But unfortunately it’s the elephant in the room so it’s bound to come up. To add to your point, we have a ton of content planned that’s not Rolex. Thanks for giving us a shot! - Jason
Appreciate it Jeff! I would love to talk watches and talk through some of your collection sometime. Hit us up on IG if that sounds like something you'd be in to. - Jason
Ah, I might cross check you in JLC. But I agree and personally think it’s a better watch than Seiko… and for the most part, they’re in the same sandbox with GS and IWC. But it also depends on what criteria you’re looking at too. Price point, design language, complication, robustness, service intervals, etc. Pending on how you slice that up, Rolex can come out on top. Could go the other way for some of the others too tho.
@@TheWatchBros My main criteria are hype, desirability, unobtainium factor and to a lesser extent how iconic the model is. These things make these watches beautiful to my eyes. I hesitated with JLC too, but I really don't like reverso and while the master ultra thin are cool, they are very boring; I'd rather get a nice vintage calatrava or vacheron traditionnelle.
I have all Rolex and he speaks the truth…I like Rolex because the money is safe. Depending on what you buy…my pieces (most giving to me from my father) are 1997-2009. Your Rolex sucks! 😂😂😂. I’m a very blessed human being!
I like your videos but they are lacking watch picture/video especially the ones you did with your brother in law Mike I guess where you talk different watches but we rarely see what you really talk about. Would be great if you can provide that within the video more often
Hope you stick around. I wouldn’t call it hating on a brand since I discuss that I own Rolex watches. But we have content in the pipeline that’s more diverse in look and tone. Thanks for checking us out 👊 - Jason
Very interesting to see a rich man hiring a youngster to do all the videos. It brings a level of professionalism to the video. But there’s something off. Can’t place it. Perhaps the over bragging or flexing on how I could have afforded this or that, but I chose this instead. Lol. No doubt I am jealous and envious of this man’s money. But it’s something I am less likely to respond to as a watcher. Perhaps all rich people talk this way. But I suspect this guy is just the way he is. A bros. Haha.
Thanks for the comment. I assume you're okay being judged back by someone that doesn't know you. You probably think the person judging you is a smart and intelligent person by forming an opinion that is completely inaccurate. I can tell you'd be super receptive to it. Thanks for keeping the algorithm alive! 😉 - Jason
@@TheWatchBros hello!! Thank you! Always good to see replies. Another “scathing” comment, just to let you know how you can improve. Stop doing these three angle shots of you and your bros. Nobody cares about your close up or away shots. All the successful TH-camrs focus more on contents, rather than these cut aways and actions of your closed up and away shots. Just stick to one angle and focus on your content. And spend more money and focus on sound recording. Believe it or not, a good voice recording is really helpful. It brings a level of genuineness that you can’t fake it. Nobody cares about your looks on TH-cam, but a great recording is an awesome addition to your efforts. So speak clearly into your microphone. And make an eye contact into the invisible void. Note people who are excellent TH-camrs invest a big microbe and speak clearly into it. It gives that extra ASMR. And believe it or not, I was so impressed one day by a good male voice and felt so warmed by it, as a straight male. And you have a good voice. Just brag less. lol. Humility is like an extra bit of horsepower on your Porsche. Don’t need it, but so nice to have! Later bros.
Hey man, I've worked on multiple production sets, with several content creators, influencers, and celebs. I know the industry standard for both film + content creators.
