"You've got 13 minutes to live, you don't have time for great video games"

Glad this game is still being showcased at GDQs...
Wow, for someone who used to follow SotN runs closely, this was a real treat! Nice to see Shield Rod getting used in a GDQ run.
This is the first time I've seen the PSP version of the game being speedrun, hot damn!
Rom Scout ran it a bit in preparation for the release of Requiem
*_WHAT IS A MAN?! A miserable little pile of secrets. But enough talk, HAVE AT YOU!_*
Thank you for having this during the run. Freaggn love this game
you don't often see someone speedrun a game on pstv.
Someone besides me bought a pstv? I was unaware
Lol, I figured out the Death Skip on my own my accident. The PSP port is the port that keeps on giving.
Bought this on the PS Store. It wasn't a mistake. Truly a fantastic game.
Great to see romscout back at agdq
"...just to save some frames..." Love this shit. I like trying bare knuckle runs. Hard but fun.
Love SoTN so much. Excellent run!
AlmightyPhilosophy11 best game ever
Wavedashing before Melee
man this video makes me want to try to speedrun sotn.. its wild seeing my fav game get broken like this! love it!!
I love this game....so many memories about ps1 time! Thanks
I threw my hands up at how easy the Death skip was lol
ikr, like the X'X something code is not even needed
@@FiveBagsOfNasu You did not need it even with the regular mode; just had to unequip everything and take half your max health in damage causing the second Warg to fling you past Death in the PS1 version.
Great run
3:53 The donor actually wrote a pretty funny line for his donation, but no one seemed to give a crap about it, that's sad lol
60FPS stream
60FPS TH-cam video
60FPS game
30FPS video capture device...
so everything becomes a blurry mess once he gets the turbo ability.
Definitely an interesting SotN run!
hecking yeet
YES.
@GDQ how do these guys figure out all these bugs and glitches?
YAY ADGQ :DDDDD
Always thought the death skip happened when you like, take a hit from a worg an it launches you through the room with death an into the next room. Though, you can't go back to that room without triggering the scene again. Gotta try this out. 😊
there are a few different death skips the one you're thinking of is probably the oldest one where you have to start in luck mode which gives you high luck but very low life and you then take off your armor and let the worg hit you and when an attack deals over a certain percentage of your hp it'll send you flying until you hit a wall which will let you skip death
Does THAT Death skip only work for PSP/PSTV/PS4? Can it be achieved on other consoles?
nice
Moonwalker 🌒 symphony of the night
Funny how the run is for SotN but the thumbnail is a Rondo of Blood screenshot.
It's been 2 years and I haven't finished this game tbf I play on a phone emulator
Fucking awesome
how do these guys figure this stuff out?
This is beaten quicker than I believe the fastest nes time on the original.
Is it really faster to beat alucard than to beat richter?
Hot take: the Dracula X re-translation was the better one and the only good thing about the original script is the iconic "What is a man?!" line.
The only good thing about the original script is how bad the voice acting is.So basically yeah you're right
holy shit, is this a world record?
No. This particular category is Any% DXC NTSC and romscout holds the title at 11min35sec. Please correct me if I am mistaken.
Why this is not considerated world Record?
Man, if even at GDQ pace, a speedrunner will mess up basic movement like the jumps in the alchemy lab, I gotta know how weird this game feels to play.
oh another SotN...in 13 mins? nani?!
It's a shame there weren't any original songs from this game in Smash.
Lost Painting??? Dance of Gold????
As well as Dracula's Castle and Tragic Prince.
@@AgentLayla526 I think he meant the original versions of the songs, not remixes. I'm in the same boat, tbh
I think he meant non remixes. I would've liked Marble Gallery.
@@YoshiONE2ONE Fair enough, the original OST was spectacular. Then again, I literally would not mind the entire Castlevania soundtrack in Smash so lmao
Ok.....
This is epic
ghi
This technique was discovered by me and my friend.
oh wow didn't know Shane Dawson was into speedrunning. nice!
Ha! I'm early enough to make the first "What is a man" joke!
uhhhhh...
What is a game? A miserable little pile of RNG.
For the next Symphony of the Night run, please, do a Glitchless or at least an All bosses run. It was honestly extremely boring to watch.
This run in a nutshell is simply backdashing into glitchwarp for 12 minutes and then, we get a boss fight.
