there’s 2 types of suffering: active suffering and passive suffering. active suffering is going into the darkest depths of the places that scare you most in your mind and trying your hardest to conquer them and to fight with brute force through the pain. passive suffering is when you’ve spent so long in a routine of just passively consuming so much comfort that nothing actually brings you joy or comfort anymore due to over saturation, that you just feel miserable and empty. pain is a choice we make every day no matter what. there’s no escaping it. just make sure you choose the right kind of pain 🙏
