EHX OD GLOVE is outstanding. Very wide range of distortion, from normal guitar up to the simple fuzz. I'd check 10 pedals and no other can be so super like GLOVE which is unique.
Great demo, thanks for the 3-way comparison on the new EHX pedals - that is useful! I imagine the Soul Food will have less distortion than any of those three, but will more transparent. Starting to worry a little that the OD Glove is a bit muffled sounding. It sounds similar to the Joyo Ultimate Drive to me.

i have the hot tubes, its more for lead players, i play more rhythem and it kinda sucks cause the pedal is too warm for power chords, its an amazing pedal for lead though

do you prefer glove or east river side? I play a strat through a Vox Ad15VT. I have a big muff with tone wicker already. I'm thinking about an overdrive pedal next. I mostly like to play Queens of the stone age and Soundgarden. Which OD pedal do you suggest me based on the info I gave you?
Being a Vox/Tele/Strat player myself, I can say that you'll probably want a more transparent drive if you're already driving the amp near breakup. If you're playing mostly clean through it, you can go wherever you'd like with pedals. Personally, I use a hot tubes to warm up the sound a little bit, then slam it when needed with the Glove on a moderate gain setting. That seems to tame some of the treble of the AC15 and boost the mids slightly, very good tone with thinner/brighter guitars.
Really excellent review BUT you didn't show the tone difference using the internal 18V or 9V switch. I really wish "somebody" would because no one else did either. BTW - I did give you a thumbs up :), Nice job.

I like the 65' Deluxe Reverb, Bassman and kind of so modelings in my amp but it lacks a good overdrive pedal emulation on it. So i was thinking of buying one of these pedals to serve me as an overdrive, but i don't want to lose that good tube emulated sound (because the majority of od pedals makes solid state's sound thin and fuzz). I've just bought GLOVE, it is just AWESOME how versatile and powerfull it is.. I highly recommend this one. Trust me. Its going to be a classic!!

They all sound good. Glove sounds more balanced of th' three. Hot Tubes had bass-a-plenty and East River was rather thin.

Erd is based of a tubescreamer and soul food is based of a klon (personally I would take the soul food)

The 9v-18v switch is more of a feel thing than a sound thing. It increases headroom too.

Ehx makes approximately 15 od pedals. This is a fulltone ocd and the soul food is a klone.
